Marketing Intern

BRC

Buckhead Recruiting Company is a boutique GTM and sales recruiting firm based in Houston, working with venture-backed startups from Seed through Series C. We've placed top go-to-market talent at fast-growing companies across SaaS, AI, and industrial sectors, and we were recently recognized as a Top 3 Houston Employment Agency (BusinessRate, 2026) with a 4.9-star Google rating. We're a small, ambitious team building a recognizable brand in startup recruiting, and this role sits at the center of that effort.

The Role

We're hiring a Marketing Intern to own BRC's public presence. You'll run our social media channels, edit and clip episodes of BRC Talks (our founder interview series filmed in our Galleria office), and manage our profiles across third-party review and directory sites. This is a hands-on role with real ownership: your work will be what candidates, founders, and clients see when they encounter BRC online.

What You'll Do

  • Social media management — Plan, create, and publish content across LinkedIn, Instagram, and YouTube, maintaining a consistent posting cadence and brand voice
  • BRC Talks production — Edit full episodes and produce short-form clips using Descript for distribution on LinkedIn and YouTube
  • Online reputation — Claim, update, and monitor BRC's presence on review and directory sites (Google, Yelp, Glassdoor, toptenatlas.com, and similar), including responding to reviews and keeping listings accurate
  • Content assets — Design carousels, stat cards, and other graphics consistent with BRC's brand guidelines
  • Reporting — Track engagement and follower growth across channels and share a simple monthly performance recap

Who You Are

  • A current student or recent graduate in marketing, communications, journalism, film/media, or a related field or equivalent self-taught experience
  • Comfortable with video editing tools (Descript experience is a plus, but we'll teach you)
  • A strong writer who can adapt tone for a professional B2B audience on LinkedIn and a more casual one on Instagram
  • Organized and self-directed you can manage a content calendar without daily oversight
  • Bonus: interest in startups, recruiting, or the venture ecosystem

The Details

Compensation: $18/hour
Hours: 15–20 hours per week, flexible scheduling around classes
Location: Hybrid — most work can be done remotely; occasional onsite days
