Veteran Recruiter Specialist
VETERAN RECRUITMEN SPECIALIST (Queens, NY 11432)
Starting Pay: $68,000–$70,000/yr.
JOB DUTIES:
- Conduct one-on-one screenings with veterans, service members, and military families for employment and training opportunities.
- Distribute promotional materials and electronic communications to engage new and returning participants.
- Provide virtual and in-person outreach to community organizations and partners to support recruiting efforts.
- Coordinate and host recruitment events, including candidate screening and interview activities.
- Deliver re-engagement services to reconnect participants with available opportunities.
- Track and evaluate recruitment and outreach strategies to measure effectiveness.
- Provide career development support through referrals and internal workforce services.
- Conduct individual assessments, career advisement sessions, resume reviews, and employment counseling.
- Connect participants to employment resources, workshops, and community-based support services.
- Maintain accurate participant records and service documentation.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 2–3 years of experience in career advisement, recruiting, sales, job development, account management, or a related field.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong strategic thinking, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
- Experience providing employment-related guidance, workforce development services, or customer support is preferred.
- Proficiency with outreach, recruitment, and participant engagement activities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
