The Saturday House | West Chester, PA

About The Saturday House
The Saturday House is an observational documentary project rooted in the historic Borough of West Chester, Pennsylvania.
Rather than creating stories, we observe them.
The house serves as the anchor while the neighborhood naturally unfolds through changing seasons, gardens, architecture, local businesses, creativity, and the quiet moments that often go unnoticed.
At its heart, The Saturday House is about craftsmanship, home, community, and living a meaningful life.
We’re looking for someone who wants to help create something thoughtful, cinematic, and lasting.
About the Role
Working alongside Madeline and Chuck, you’ll become The Saturday House’s third creative partner.
Rather than arriving with a script, you’ll learn to recognize meaningful moments and shape them into quiet stories through image, sound, and thoughtful editing.
An important part of the role is building and organizing an ever-growing visual archive of The Saturday House and the surrounding community. Over time, this archive becomes one of the project’s greatest creative assets.
The vision is to publish one thoughtfully crafted 15–30 minute episode each Saturday.
The camera observes rather than directs. Conversation is welcome. Silence is just as much a part of the storytelling.
The Saturday House is not about creating content. It is about documenting a life that is already being lived.

Internship or independent study credit may also be available through West Chester University.
