Android Developer
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Android Developer with 5+ years of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality native Android applications. The ideal candidate should have expertise in Kotlin, Java, Android SDK, Jetpack components, and modern Android development practices. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to build scalable, secure, and user-friendly mobile applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain native Android applications using Kotlin and Java.
- Collaborate with product managers, UI/UX designers, backend developers, and QA teams.
- Develop responsive, high-performance mobile applications following Android best practices.
- Integrate RESTful APIs, third-party SDKs, and cloud services.
- Write clean, maintainable, and reusable code.
- Optimize application performance, memory usage, and battery efficiency.
- Debug and resolve application issues and crashes.
- Implement unit testing and participate in code reviews.
- Publish and maintain applications on the Google Play Store.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum development processes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of professional Android development experience.
- Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Java.
- Experience with Android SDK, Android Studio, and Gradle.
- Hands-on experience with Jetpack Components (ViewModel, LiveData, Navigation, Room, WorkManager).
- Strong understanding of Android Architecture Components and MVVM.
- Experience integrating RESTful APIs and JSON.
- Experience with SQLite or Room Database.
- Knowledge of Material Design guidelines.
- Experience with Git and version control.
- Familiarity with Google Play Store deployment process.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Jetpack Compose.
- Knowledge of Coroutines and Flow.
- Experience with Dagger/Hilt or Koin for dependency injection.
- Experience with Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Crashlytics, Analytics, Cloud Messaging).
- Knowledge of Push Notifications (FCM).
- Experience with Retrofit, OkHttp, and Moshi/Gson.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Bitrise, or GitLab CI.
- Experience with unit testing using JUnit, Mockito, and Espresso.
- Understanding of mobile security best practices.
- Experience working in Agile environments.
