Private Music Teacher- Piano - Guitar - Violin - Cello

The Nashua Community Music School is looking to contract part-time Private Music Lesson Teachers to inspire a new generation of musicians. We welcome applicants who can start in September 2026.

NCMS is seeking applicants with a primary speciality in:

  • Piano
  • Guitar
  • Violin
  • Cello

Qualifications

The ideal applicant must…

  • Have a genuine passion for teaching students of all ages and abilities
  • Believe that high-quality music experiences should be accessible to all
  • Possess advanced knowledge of pedagogy and practice in their field
  • Be comfortable delivering lessons primarily in person and remotely on occasion
  • Have a Bachelor’s Degree in Music (experience will be considered in lieu of degree)

Additional opportunities to run special community workshops, programs, and performances are also available. Recent graduates are especially encouraged to apply and provided with additional training and mentorship.  

About NCMS: The mission of the nonprofit Nashua Community Music School is to create innovative music programs that are accessible to all. NCMS offers music education opportunities for all ages including: private music lessons, group classes, ensembles, Music Therapy, Music Outreach Programs, and summer camps. We appreciate teachers who create meaningful connections with our students while supporting our efforts as a nonprofit community service-based organization. We are responsible for all scheduling, marketing, recruiting, and communications for your studio so all you need to focus on is the thing you love to do: serving the community through music. Desired Start Date:  September 2026

Pay: $30 - $45/hr
