Marketing & Communications Assistant

About the Company:
Founded in 2017 by Anthony and Joe Russo, AGBO is an artist-led independent studio shaping the future of film and television. The Russo Brothers and AGBO have generated more than $7 billion at the global box office, including Avengers: Endgame. The studio’s projects include Academy Award–winning Everything Everywhere All at Once, Netflix hits The Gray Man and Extraction, and Prime Video’s visceral thriller The Bluff and the global Citadel franchise. Citadel Season 2 premieres in May 2026.

AGBO is currently in production with Netflix on Tygo and Mercenary, both part of the Extraction universe, as well as with Lionsgate on John Rambo, a prequel to the iconic franchise. The studio is in post-production on The Whisper Man, starring Robert De Niro, and Avengers: Doomsday, which will be released December 18, 2026. AGBO will begin shooting Avengers: Secret Wars later this year. Both upcoming Avengers films are directed by Anthony and Joe Russo and co-produced by AGBO and Marvel Studios.

In 2023, AGBO welcomed Donald Mustard—former Chief Creative Officer at Epic Games and co-creator of Fortnite—as a partner. Mustard brings a bold creative vision to AGBO: to expand what storytelling can be through immersive, interconnected worlds that span across media. We’re building the future of storytelling—and we’re looking for bold, creative minds to help shape it. If you’re ready to help define what comes next, we’d love to meet you.

Position Summary:
AGBO is seeking a Marketing and Social Media Assistant to join the Marketing team. The role lives where content meets coordination. You’ll help make social content around announcements and campaigns while keeping the moving pieces of a release on track, from schedules and travel to events and vendor handoffs.

It suits someone who is organized when plans change, genuinely tapped into entertainment and pop culture, and excited both to create things and to keep them running. You’ll start on foundational work and take on more as you show you can own it. AGBO is proud to offer an educational internship with meaningful preparation for a career in entertainment.

Key Responsibilities:

Release and event coordination

  • Support release and event coordination: master and individual schedules, travel and hotel arrangements, RSVP lists, credentials, and on-site materials.
  • Serve as an extra set of hands on event and press days, and as a point of contact for vendors.

Social content and owned channels

  • Help create social content tied to announcements and campaigns, including the graphics that carry a press release onto social channels.
  • Help manage the influencer roster and keep social assets organized, curated and ready to deploy.
  • Provide editorial support as you grow into owning pieces of the content calendar.

Corporate and communications

  • Keep the website, bios, and standing company content current.
  • Assist with publicity materials, press breaks, and other public relations documents.

Administrative and research

  • Provide general support to the Marketing team: calendar management, meeting prep, note-taking, and document organization.
  • Conduct research on industry trends, award deadlines, and creative vendors.
  • Help draft and copyedit newsletters, bios, press and influencer lists, and internal documents.
  • Monitor media coverage and update press breaks and internal trackers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor’s program in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Media Studies, Film/TV, or a related field. Junior or senior standing, or recent graduate.
  • 0–4 years of experience in film, entertainment, social media, or public relations, including internships and coursework.
  • A real interest in social media and content creation, and a habit of following what’s happening in entertainment, from the trades to the pop-culture podcasts.
  • Organized and steady when plans shift. Release schedules move constantly, and you keep up.
Familiarity with AGBO’s past and present slate, company leadership, key creative collaborators, and social presence.
  • Proficiency in Canva and Google Sheets is required. Comfort with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace is expected. Short-form video editing or graphic design is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication. Highly detail-oriented.
  • A self-starter who is proactive, reliable, and excited to be here.
  • Previous internship in social media, marketing, public relations, or entertainment publicity is a plus.

Additional Information:

  • The temporary role is expected to run through December 18, 2026, though it may end sooner depending on business needs.
  • Scheduled Weekly Hours: 20 hours max per week.
  • Applicants must possess unrestricted work authorization.

*Due to the high volume of applications, we will reach out only to those who will be moving to the next round*
