Founding Marketing Associate
About the role
You'll join at the ground floor of our growth function, working directly with the Head of Growth & GTM to build the visual and written foundation of how Merget shows up in the world: branding, marketing assets, blog posts, social content, landing pages, decks, and sales collateral.
This role is majority design execution (Figma and Adobe Creative Suite) with strong supporting writing responsibilities. You'll have real ownership from day one — this is a build-it-with-us role at an early, high-growth startup and a chance to dive into an emerging industry.
This is a great fit for someone early in their career who wants outsized ownership and is excited to grow into the role.
What you'll do
- Design and produce marketing visuals in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite: paid ad creative (Google, LinkedIn, TikTok, Instagram, Reddit), social graphics, landing page assets, videos, motion graphics, decks, and one-pagers.
- Maintain visual brand consistency across every channel and asset.
- Write and edit marketing copy, including ad copy, social captions, blog posts, email campaigns, case studies, and sales collateral.
- Run day-to-day content execution: content calendar, scheduling, posting, and community engagement.
- Support paid campaign execution, building ad variations, landing pages, and creative tests across our performance channels.
- Track how your content and design assets perform, and use those insights to improve the next round.
- Help stand up marketing processes, tooling, and workflows from scratch as the team's first dedicated marketing hire.
- Partner cross-functionally with the founder and engineering on product marketing materials.
What we're looking for
We're prioritizing design and writing ability over years of marketing experience. If you have a strong portfolio, a creative eye, and can write well, we want to hear from you — even without a formal marketing background.
- Experience in marketing, design, or communications preferred, but not required
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, design, communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience and skill in creative execution, with specific experience in Figma and/or Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, InDesign).
- Video creation & motion editing experience in a variety of platforms (Final Cut exp preferred)
- Excellent writing skills
- You're excited to pick up new tools, channels, and skills quickly and run with them.
- A bias toward action and comfort with ambiguity, you'll be figuring out process as you go, not following an existing playbook.
- Detail-oriented and self-directed, with real enthusiasm for wearing multiple hats.
- Background or interest in tech
Nice to have
- Experience creating paid social or search ad creative.
- Familiarity with basic analytics tools (Google Analytics / GA4).
- Prior experience at a B2B SaaS or developer-tools company.
Compensation
- Base salary ($60-85K)
