Video Editor

(APPLICATION PERIOD WILL CLOSE JULY, 10 2026)

This individual is responsible for editing videos for video projects and virtual events for both internal and client projects. Video editor will also work closely with Photographer & Graphic Designer for video clips, reels, etc. needed for social media & digital content. This team member will collaborate with and report to the Sr. Video Editor (Bryan) for insights on filming, vision, scoring or voiceover needs, and planning of video projects.  NOTE: All videos will be edited using Final Cut Pro and After Effects. Any other software will be discussed ahead of using it for the first time.

Essential Functions: The following are the current responsibilities for this position. All tasks will be updated in Monday.com (our Project Management Software). 

  • Shred footage and organize for storytelling and marketing or campaign needs (both internal and external). 
  • Edit video projects as needed, including but not limited to: storytelling videos, resources, events, virtual events, animated videos, social media clips, and reels.
  • Organize content captured and collected on filming days and for clients. Occasionally, clients will provide previously captured content that they have on hard drives, which we will then compile, integrate and edit, as well.
  • Audio editing/engineering on video clips, as well as podcast recordings, including but not limited to voiceover work and music. 
  • Organize and collect potential tracks of music for videos. 
  • Design and fact check lower thirds on internal and client videos. 
  • Converting videos to shorter clips, GIFs, animation, etc. for both internal and external use. 

Competency: Google Drive, Final Cut Pro, Adobe After Effects (if possible, but not necessary)

Work Environment: Most work is to be performed either onsite at our production house, The Story Factory, or remote.  

Physical Demands: The physical demands of the job include bending, sitting, lifting, the ability to sit or stand for long periods of time, and driving.

Position type and expected hours of work: Part-time, Monday through Friday, with occasional changes in schedule due to client needs or projects. 

Travel: Travel for this position is TBD based on client projects, with none planned for this internship. Most travel happens within 100 miles of Philadelphia, PA (New York, New Jersey, Delaware, Washington D.C.). However, you may be required to travel a further distance, depending on the project. You will be informed if a passport, immunizations, or further travel documents, etc. are required. Travel reimbursement and guidelines can be found in our travel & reimbursement policy. This position requires reliable transportation (with a level of comfort driving within the city) and housing based in or around Philadelphia.
