Realization Design Intern 

About the Role 

WovenWorks is looking for a Realization Design Intern to join our collaborative creative team. This is a hands-on internship for a senior design student, recent graduate, or emerging designer who enjoys both creative design and technical execution. 

You'll work alongside our Realization, Graphic Design, and Industrial Design teams to help transform creative concepts into production-ready deliverables. We are looking for someone who can learn quickly, contribute meaningfully, and begin functioning as an Associate Realization Designer with guidance and mentorship. 

Location & Work Environment 

This is a hybrid position requiring regular in-office collaboration at our Cincinnati, Ohio office, with the flexibility to work remotely on other days. 

What You'll Do 

  • Assist with building clean, organized production files for packaging, brand systems, presentations, and other design deliverables 
  • Support design adaptation, versioning, resizing, and file refinement across multiple brands and project types 
  • Help prepare files according to printer specifications, production requirements, and internal best practices 
  • Assist with quality control, including checking artwork, consistency, technical details, and file accuracy 
  • Support basic retouching, image editing, and production-focused design tasks 
  • Help create design templates and working files that allow creative teams to move efficiently 
  • Collaborate with graphic designers, industrial designers, realization designers, project managers, and production partners 
  • Learn and apply WovenWorks’ creative standards, file release processes, quality control protocols, and IP/copyright practices 
  • Contribute to comps, mockups, prototypes, presentation materials, and other client-facing deliverables 
  • Ask smart questions, take feedback well, and continue building technical confidence and creative judgment 

What We're Looking For 

  • Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Graphic Design or a related field 
  • Strong Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop skills 
  • Working knowledge of InDesign 
  • Excellent attention to detail and file organization 
  • Interest in packaging, branding, and print production 
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills 
  • Positive attitude, curiosity, and eagerness to learn 
  • A portfolio that shows thoughtful design execution, strong craft, and attention to detail 

Bonus Skills 

  • Packaging or production file experience 
  • Print production or prepress knowledge 
  • Basic motion graphics, video, or animation skills 
  • Experience with After Effects, Premiere, Esko, Rhino, KeyShot, or 3D rendering tools 
  • Hands-on prototyping, comping, or mockup experience
