Grants Specialist
Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the Chief Impact Officer (CIO), the Grants Specialist is a critical part of our Community Impact Team in enhancing our resource development efforts. The ideal candidate should be well-versed in grant & narrative writing, project management, project budgeting, and research skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential, as is a strong background in grant/technical writing, logic models, and budgets.
This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive; employees may perform other reasonably related duties as assigned by supervisory personnel.
$21.00/hour - This is a part-time position of up to 29 hours/week, benefits include Retirement, AD&D, Short-Term and Long-Term Disability, and Accrued PTO.
Administrative Responsibilities.
Grant Search:
Conduct grant searches for funding opportunities.
Evaluate prospective funding opportunities for alignment with CASFB goals and needs.
Grant Proposal Development and Writing:
Collaborate with team members to gather needed data/stories and set project goals and budgets.
Participate in funding-opportunity webinars as offered by funders.
Write compelling grant applications/proposals that meet funder formatting and rubric scoring guidelines.
Compile application attachments as requested by funders.
Edit and proofread content for accuracy and consistency.
Availability to meet tight grant deadlines, as needed and as appropriate.
Grant Application Tracking, Reporting, and Acknowledgment:
Track multiple application due dates, application status, and award acknowledgment.
Notify the Finance Department and other relevant departments within CASFB of grant awards and funder reporting requirements.
Qualifications:
Work experience/coursework in grant writing.
Minimum 1 year of experience developing and writing grant proposals.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
Excellent written communication skills with a keen eye for detail and grammar.
Excellent teamwork skills.
Strong ability to craft engaging and informative narratives.
Strong ability to build project budgets that align with funding parameters and project needs.
Strong ability to manage task lists and responsibilities
Must submit writing samples as part of the selection process.
