Junior Marketing Specialist
About JELY Marketing
JELY Marketing is a boutique digital marketing agency helping businesses grow through SEO, paid media, social media, content, and website strategy. We work closely with our clients and believe great marketing comes from strong strategy, attention to detail, and a team that is curious enough to keep learning.
We are a small but growing agency. This role is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who wants hands-on exposure to multiple areas of digital marketing. You will not be expected to know everything on day one. We are looking for someone organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to learn.
Role Overview
We are looking for a Junior Marketing Specialist to support a wide range of digital marketing tasks across SEO, PPC, social media, email marketing, client support, and internal agency operations.
This role is designed for someone who wants to get their feet wet in multiple areas of marketing before potentially specializing in one department over time. You will receive training, documentation, and support from the founders and internal team as you learn how agency work is done.
This is not a role where you are expected to independently own full strategies right away. Instead, you will help with foundational marketing tasks, learn our processes, and gradually take on more responsibility as you grow.
What You’ll Help With
SEO Support
You will assist with foundational SEO tasks that help our clients improve their visibility and keep their websites up to date.
Responsibilities may include:
- Implementing blog posts and website content
- Formatting and optimizing content in WordPress
- Writing or editing metadata, including title tags and meta descriptions
- Supporting content audits, edits, and updates
- Helping with keyword research
- Assisting with competitor research
- Reviewing websites for basic SEO improvements
- Helping create monthly SEO reports
- Completing negative review audits
- Supporting email campaign setup in platforms such as Constant Contact
You will not be expected to write full SEO content from scratch unless that becomes an area you enjoy and want to develop. We will also teach you how to use AI tools responsibly to assist with marketing tasks while still applying human judgment and review.
PPC Support
You will assist with basic paid advertising checks and learn how paid media campaigns are monitored over time.
Responsibilities may include:
- Reviewing search query reports
- Checking for ad disapprovals or account flags
- Helping organize basic PPC findings for review
- Learning how to identify potential recommendations over time
You will not be expected to manage paid advertising campaigns independently right away.
Social Media Support
You will help support and eventually own JELY Marketing’s social media presence across platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok where applicable.
Responsibilities may include:
- Helping create and manage JELY’s social media content calendar
- Brainstorming post ideas and content themes
- Drafting captions and social content
- Coordinating with the founders to film or create content
- Scheduling and publishing posts
- Helping with content refresh ideas for paid social clients
Client & Operations Support
As part of a small agency, you may also help with light operational and client support tasks.
Responsibilities may include:
- Answering occasional phone calls
- Supporting potential sales intake when needed
- Shadowing client calls to learn how client communication works
- Taking notes or organizing follow-up items from meetings
- Helping keep internal tasks organized in our project management system
What You’ll Learn
This role is built to help you gain practical, hands-on digital marketing experience across multiple channels. You will learn how to:
- Work inside a boutique digital marketing agency
- Use tools like WordPress, Google Ads, Google Analytics, SEMrush, Constant Contact, Canva, and more
- Understand the basics of SEO, PPC, social media, email marketing, and reporting
- Implement content on websites with attention to formatting, user experience, and quality
- Review marketing data and identify patterns
- Communicate professionally with a remote team
- Use AI as a tool to support better and more efficient work
- Determine which area of marketing you may want to specialize in long term
Who We’re Looking For
The right person for this role is not expected to have years of experience. We are much more focused on mindset, organization, and coachability.
You may be a strong fit if you are:
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Proactive and eager to learn
- A strong problem solver
- Comfortable working remotely
- Able to manage your time and stay focused without constant oversight
- Comfortable asking questions when needed
- Willing to look for answers before getting stuck
- Coachable and open to feedback
- Creative, analytical, or interested in both sides of marketing
- Comfortable switching between different types of tasks
- Excited to learn how different marketing departments work together
This role may be a great fit for a recent graduate, current student nearing graduation, or someone early in their marketing career.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree or coursework in marketing, communications, business, advertising, or a related field preferred
- Relevant field experience, internships, class projects, freelance work, or personal projects are also valuable
- Interest in digital marketing, SEO, PPC, social media, websites, or content
- Strong writing and communication skills
- Familiarity with tools like WordPress, Canva, Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta Business Suite, SEMrush, or Constant Contact is a plus, but not required
All core tools and processes can be taught.
Work Environment
This is a fully remote role, but we are looking for someone based in South Florida when possible. Both founders are located in South Florida, and there may be opportunities to meet in person for training, collaboration, or team working sessions.
Because this is a remote role, the ideal candidate must be self-motivated, communicative, and comfortable staying organized throughout the day.
You will report to the founders and may also collaborate with our development team when website-related tasks need support.
Training & Support
You will not be left to figure everything out alone.
JELY has internal training documentation, written how-tos, video walkthroughs, and established processes. You will also have regular check-ins through Google Meet, with weekly meetings at a minimum.
The first 1-2 months will focus on learning our tools, understanding our workflows, and building confidence with foundational tasks. As you grow, you will have the opportunity to take on more ownership and begin identifying which area of marketing you may want to specialize in.
Tools You May Use
You may receive training and hands-on experience with tools such as:
- WordPress
- Google Analytics
- Google Ads
- Google Search Console
- SEMrush
- Constant Contact
- Canva
- Meta Business Suite
- Asana
- Slack
- Google Workspace
- AI tools such as ChatGPT or similar platforms
Benefits & Logistics
- Company-provided computer
- Paid Time Off
- Paid sick leave
- Paid holidays
- Health benefits, if eligible as a full-time employee
- Time tracking required
- Screenshot-based time tracking required
- Remote work environment
- Hands-on training and growth opportunity
