Internship Overview

Learnroll is seeking a motivated MBA, Business, Marketing, Analytics, or Healthcare Management student for a short-term July/August internship focused on sales development, market research, CRM analytics, outreach performance, and business reporting.

This role is ideal for a student who enjoys working with data, sales tools, healthcare innovation, and early-stage startup growth.

The intern will help Learnroll analyze its current outreach data, improve sales reporting, support SDR workflows, and generate insights from tools such as CRM, email campaigns, LinkedIn outreach, lead lists, and market research sources.

 

Key Responsibilities

Sales Development & Outreach Support

  • Research healthcare, higher education, and workforce training prospects
  • Build and organize clean lead lists for hospitals, medical schools, universities, simulation centers, and healthcare innovation teams
  • Support any outbound outreach campaigns for one of our core products 
  • Assist with CRM organization - contact segmentation by customer type, geography, role, and priority from various data sources
  • Test A/B - Help draft, test, and organize SDR outreach messages. 

Data Analytics & Reporting

  • Review existing CRM, outreach, and lead generation data
  • Create weekly sales pipeline reports
  • Analyze outreach performance, including open rates, reply rates, meetings booked, and pilot conversion signals
  • Build dashboards or summary reports using Excel, Google Sheets, HubSpot, Apollo, or similar tools
  • Identify which customer segments show the strongest engagement

Market & Competitive Research

  • Research target accounts in healthcare education, simulation, AI in medicine, women’s health, and workforce development
  • Map key decision-makers such as innovation directors, CME/CE leaders, deans, program directors, and simulation lab leaders
  • Support competitive and market positioning research
  • Help identify grants, pilot opportunities, and strategic partnership targets

Business Reporting

  • Prepare concise weekly reports for Learnroll leadership
  • Summarize campaign performance and recommendations
  • Create a final internship report covering:
    • Pipeline analysis
    • Best-performing segments
    • Outreach recommendations
    • Lead quality assessment
    • CRM cleanup findings
    • Next-quarter sales priorities

 

Tools the Intern May Use

  • HubSpot CRM
  • Apollo.io
  • LinkedIn / LinkedIn Sales Navigator
  • Google Sheets / Excel
  • Mailchimp or email campaign tools
  • Canva or PowerPoint for reporting
  • In house AI tools for research support and summarization
  • Public data sources for market and account research

Prior experience with every tool is not required, but the intern should be comfortable learning new platforms quickly.

 

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is currently enrolled in or recently completed:

  • MBA program
  • Business Analytics program
  • Healthcare Management program
  • Marketing Analytics program
  • Entrepreneurship program with Marketing/Sales program
  • Data Analytics or Information Systems program

Preferred skills:

  • Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills
  • Data analysis and reporting mindset
  • Interest in healthcare, AI, XR, or education technology
  • Strong written communication
  • Ability to organize messy data into usable insights
  • Comfortable researching companies, contacts, and market segments
  • Self-directed and comfortable working in an early-stage startup environment

 

Internship Duration

July–August
Duration: 6–8 weeks

Suggested weekly commitment:

  • 10–15 hours per week for part-time internship

Location:

  • Remote or hybrid (1 face to face meeting in 3 weeks)
  • Preference for students from New Jersey / New York / Pennsylvania area universities

By the end of the internship, the intern should deliver:

  1. Cleaned and segmented lead database
  2. Weekly outreach performance report
  3. SDR campaign performance dashboard
  4. Target account list by segment
  5. Lead scoring or prioritization model
  6. Competitive / market research summary
  7. Final Learnroll analytics report
  8. Recommendations for September–Q4 outreach strategy

Compensation

Compensation / stipend is based on experience or job fitment.

Learnroll may structure this as a paid internship, stipend-based internship, academic-credit internship, or project-based internship depending on university requirements and candidate fit.
