About Ineffable Films
Ineffable Films is a nonprofit on a mission to open the film industry to emerging and underserved storytellers. We do it through mentorship, festival access, hands-on education, and community screenings, with work that stretches from San Diego to New York to Boston to a creative partnership in Bandung, Indonesia. Stories are at the center of everything we make, and we are looking for editors who can shape footage into something people feel.
The Role
We are looking for a Video Editor Intern to cut the content that carries our mission. You will edit short-form videos, behind-the-scenes pieces, and episodes for our Global Lens Film Series, turning raw footage into clear, engaging stories. Alongside that, you'll be part of a community of filmmakers where you can sharpen your craft, get feedback, and lend your editing eye to the films and creators we support.
What you'll do
- Edit short-form videos, BTS pieces, and Global Lens episodes from raw footage
- Shape pacing, rhythm, and structure so each story lands
- Add titles, music, and sound to bring edits to life
- Collaborate with our video and creative leads on direction and revisions
- Engage in the community, supporting other filmmakers with their cuts and projects

Who we're looking for
- A strong editor with a feel for story, pacing, and rhythm
- Comfort in an editing tool like Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut, or CapCut
- An eye for detail in sound, titles, and finishing
- Reliability, self-direction, and excitement for film and storytelling
- No degree required. We care about your eye and your cuts
