Position Overview

DeepBrain Academy is seeking a creative, motivated, and detail-oriented Social Media Marketing Intern to support our digital marketing initiatives during the summer. This internship provides hands-on experience in social media management, content creation, education marketing, and brand development.

The intern will play an active role in growing DeepBrain Academy’s presence on Facebook and RedNote (Xiaohongshu) while learning how educational organizations communicate with parents, students, and local communities. This is an excellent opportunity for students interested in marketing, communications, digital media, content creation, or education.

Working closely with academy leadership, the intern will contribute to real marketing campaigns, create engaging content, track performance metrics, and help tell the stories of student learning and achievement.

Key Responsibilities

Content Creation & Social Media Management

  • Assist in managing DeepBrain Academy’s Facebook and RedNote/Xiaohongshu accounts.
  • Create engaging social media content including posts, captions, graphics, stories, reels, and short-form videos.
  • Develop platform-specific content tailored to different audiences and engagement styles.
  • Help maintain a consistent brand voice and visual identity across social media channels.
  • Schedule and publish approved content according to the content calendar.

Content Planning & Marketing Support

  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and content planning meetings.
  • Promote academy programs, camps, workshops, competitions, student achievements, events, and educational resources.
  • Research industry trends, educational topics, and social media best practices.
  • Assist with marketing campaigns designed to increase community awareness and program enrollment.

Photography & Video Content

  • Capture photos and short videos during classes, workshops, camps, and academy events when appropriate.
  • Edit basic photo and video content using tools such as Canva, CapCut, Adobe Express, or similar platforms.
  • Organize and maintain content assets for future marketing use.

Community Engagement & Analytics

  • Monitor audience engagement, comments, and messages under supervision.
  • Track key performance metrics such as reach, impressions, engagement, follower growth, and content performance.
  • Help identify successful content strategies and suggest new ideas based on audience behavior and platform trends.

Administrative & Team Support

  • Maintain organized content calendars, asset libraries, and marketing files.
  • Assist with special projects related to branding, communications, and educational outreach.
  • Handle student photos, videos, and academy information responsibly and confidentially.

Qualifications

Required

  • Current college student, recent graduate, or advanced high school student with strong interest in marketing, communications, media, business, education, or related fields.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Familiarity with major social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, or RedNote/Xiaohongshu.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
  • Basic proficiency with Google Workspace and common productivity tools.
  • Ability to work in person at our Tenafly location.

Preferred

  • Experience creating content for personal, school, club, or business social media accounts.
  • Familiarity with Canva, CapCut, Adobe Express, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design tools.
  • Interest in education, STEM, academic enrichment, or youth development.
  • Mandarin Chinese proficiency, particularly for RedNote/Xiaohongshu content creation.
  • Photography, videography, or short-form video editing experience.
