About Ineffable Films
Ineffable Films is a nonprofit on a mission to open the film industry to emerging and underserved storytellers. We do it through mentorship, festival access, hands-on education, and community screenings, with work that stretches from San Diego to New York to Boston to a creative partnership in Bandung, Indonesia. Stories are at the center of everything we make, and we are looking for writers who love both telling them and teaching them.
The Role
We are looking for accomplished emerging filmmakers, people whose films have won awards or been accepted into festivals, to intern at Ineffable Films as Filmmakers-in-Residence. You will create and edit behind-the-scenes content and short-form media about your own films and the films you are currently making, sharing your process with a community of filmmakers and mentors willing to support you on your next project.
What you'll do
- Create and edit BTS videos, process breakdowns, and short-form media about your films
- Share your craft and decisions with our Open Hours community, modeling the work for emerging filmmakers
- Engage in the community, answering questions, collaborating on projects and connecting with other filmmakers 1

- A filmmaker with a film that has won awards or been accepted into festivals who is working on their next project
- Strong editing skills for BTS and short-form content
- A natural storyteller who enjoys sharing process
- Excitement for film, culture, and lifting up other emerging filmmakers

**One thing worth knowing about the community: it's yours whether or not you end up interning with us. Even if interning isn't the right fit down the line, you'll have a space to get free support from professional filmmakers on whatever projects you're working on, plus connect with other filmmakers and designers along the way.
