Wapoo is an interactive story app where creators start “what if” worlds, and the community continues them together.

Instead of posting a video that ends after people watch it, creators on Wapoo can open up a story with multiple possible directions. Other people can enter the world, create new branches, reshape the ending, and build on top of what came before.

A Wapoo story is not a finished post. It is a living world.

Role Overview

Wapoo is hiring student video creators to help create fun and engaging content inside the Wapoo app.

This is not a filming, video editing, or TikTok/Instagram posting role. You do not need to film videos, edit videos, or post on any external social media platform.

Your main task is to download the Wapoo app, enter the app each day, and create videos by writing creative prompts based on official Wapoo videos provided by our team. Your prompts should continue the story, add a twist, or create a new ending.

Responsibilities

• Download the Wapoo app and create an account
• Spend 1 hour per day inside the Wapoo app
• Create 30 creative prompt-generated videos per 1-hour session
• Use official Wapoo videos provided by our team as the starting point
• Write creative prompts that continue the story, add a twist, or create a new ending
• Make prompts fun, clear, creative, non-repetitive, and story-driven
• Submit screenshots as proof of completed work
• Provide brief feedback on the app experience when needed

Compensation

Base Pay: $20 per hour

Expected output: 30 approved prompt-generated videos per hour

Work will be reviewed by the Wapoo team

Only approved, complete, and high-quality work will count

This is not a paid install, rating, review, or external social media posting task. Payment is based on approved creative work completed inside the Wapoo app.

Tree Bonus Program

Creators can also earn extra bonuses by publishing a seed video and helping it grow into a content tree within 120 hours.

A seed video is an original video you post inside Wapoo. After publishing your seed, you can share the video/anchor with friends and invite them to continue your story. When more people relay your seed, they add their own creative twist and help your story grow into more branches and possible endings.

Bonus Tiers:

$50 Bonus
Requirement: 100 total twists within 120 hours
Minimum invited creators: 5

$200 Bonus
Requirement: 300 total twists within 120 hours
Minimum invited creators: 12

$400 Bonus
Requirement: 500 total twists within 120 hours
Minimum invited creators: 20

To qualify for the Tree Bonus:

• You must publish an original seed video inside Wapoo
• Your seed must grow through real twists from other users
• You must invite the minimum number of qualified creators for the bonus tier
• Relay activity must be real, meaningful, and approved by Wapoo
• Fake accounts, duplicate users, spam-like activity, low-quality submissions, or inactive registrations will not count
• A qualified invited creator means someone you invited who joins Wapoo and creates content in your seed video’s tree.

• Comfortable using mobile apps
• Interested in short videos, memes, storytelling, social media, or creative content
• Able to write fun, clear, and original creative prompts
• Good sense of humor and internet culture
• Able to follow instructions and submit proof of completion
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and responsive
• No filming, editing, or professional video experience required

• Enjoys creating funny, surprising, dramatic, chaotic, cute, or campus-related ideas
• Comfortable inviting friends or classmates to try new apps and participate in creative challenges

Location

Remote. U.S.-based students preferred.

Schedule

Flexible. Students may work up to 1 hour per day unless additional hours are approved by the Wapoo team.
