Turn local connections into real business growth.

Company: SuSu Hospitality Group
Brand: Jamba
Location: Oakbrook Terrace, Wheaton and Willowbrook
Position Type: Paid, Part-Time Internship
Initial Program: 90 Days
Time Commitment: Approximately 15 Hours Per Month
Compensation: $500 Per Month, Plus Performance Incentives

Real Fruit. Real Relationships. Real Business Experience.

SuSu Hospitality Group, the locally owned operator of 14 Jamba locations throughout Chicagoland, is looking for an energetic and entrepreneurial intern who wants to do more than observe marketing from behind a computer.

This is a hands-on opportunity to help bring the Jamba spirit into local schools, athletic programs, businesses, fitness communities and neighborhood events.

You will not spend the internship making coffee, filing documents or watching meetings.

You will help identify real opportunities, build community relationships, create local marketing activity and generate measurable sales.

What Makes This Internship Different?

Most internships provide observation.

This internship provides access.

The selected intern will work directly with executive leaders who have built careers at some of the world's most respected organizations, including Gartner, IBM, Oracle, NTT Data, Dell, McDonald's, Mondelez and Jamba.

Most notably, your mentor served as the elected President of the Jamba Franchise Advisory Council for six years, representing franchise owners throughout the system and working directly with senior brand leadership on marketing, operations, technology, supply chain and franchise strategy.

This is a unique opportunity to learn how national brands grow, how franchise systems operate and how local marketing efforts translate into measurable business results.

You will gain exposure to:

• Franchise leadership and governance
• Enterprise sales and business development
• Marketing strategy and execution
• Community engagement and local brand building
• Hospitality operations and guest experience
• Customer acquisition and retention
• Digital marketing and social media strategy
• Executive communication and leadership development
• Business ownership and entrepreneurship
• Measuring return on marketing investment

You will not simply study business.

You will help grow one.

Your Mission

Help make Jamba more visible, connected and active within the communities surrounding our Oakbrook Terrace, Wheaton and Willowbrook stores.

You will identify and develop relationships with:

• Schools and colleges
• Athletic teams and booster organizations
• Gyms, yoga studios and fitness communities
• Hospitals and medical offices
• Local businesses and corporate offices
• Apartment communities
• Park districts and community organizations
• Festivals, tournaments and neighborhood events

What You Will Do

• Research promising local organizations and partnership opportunities
• Contact community leaders, coaches, office managers and event organizers
• Introduce Jamba’s catering, group-order and event capabilities
• Participate in local visits, tastings and community activations
• Help develop creative ways to bring more guests into our stores
• Capture photographs and short videos that reflect the energy of Jamba
• Assist with local social-media and community content
• Maintain a professional prospect and follow-up tracker
• Measure activity, resulting orders and incremental sales
• Present your results and recommendations directly to company leadership

What Success Looks Like

By the completion of the internship, you should be able to demonstrate:

• A developed pipeline of local school, business and community relationships
• Completed meetings, visits and sampling events
• New catering, group-order or event opportunities
• Original community-focused marketing content
• A measurable contribution to store traffic or sales
• A portfolio of real work that can be discussed in future interviews

Who We Are Looking For

You may be studying marketing, sales, communications, hospitality, entrepreneurship, business or event management, but your major is less important than your attitude.

The ideal candidate is:

• Positive, energetic and comfortable meeting new people
• Entrepreneurial and willing to take initiative
• Creative, but also focused on measurable results
• Organized and dependable with follow-up
• Interested in sales, marketing, hospitality or business ownership
• Familiar with the western Chicago suburbs
• Comfortable visiting schools, businesses and community organizations
• Able to communicate professionally in person, by telephone and by email
• Equipped with reliable transportation

Existing connections with schools, athletic programs, gyms, local businesses or community organizations are especially valuable.

Compensation and Recognition

• $500 monthly base compensation
• Additional incentives for measurable new business
• Approved mileage reimbursement
• Direct executive mentorship
• Professional recommendation upon successful completion
• Opportunity to continue or expand into additional Chicagoland markets
• Potential consideration for future leadership, marketing or business-development opportunities
