Social Media Marketing Intern

About Shadowcorp

Shadowcorp is an independent luxury streetwear label based in New York and Los Angeles. We design and produce garments and footwear, blending underground culture with luxury construction. We're a 2-person founding team that took the brand from zero to over 5 figures in revenue within 6 months of our first drop, driven by viral organic content and a community that found us, not the other way around. If you're thrifting at 2nd Street and pulling fits that get stopped on the street, if you find brands on Instagram before they ever got big, if you understand why a $349 boot from an unknown brand sells out, we want to talk to you.

About the Role

Shadowcorp is looking for a Social Media Marketing Intern to join our founding team and help shape how one of the most exciting emerging brands in underground fashion shows up to the world. This isn't a passive internship. You'll own a core part of our content engine: pitching ideas, shooting and editing video, putting together mood boards, building aesthetic direction, and developing the assets that drive our reach across TikTok, Instagram, and beyond.

This is a ground-floor opportunity at a brand in its breakout phase. You'll be creating content that reaches hundreds of thousands of people, helping shape the visual identity of a brand that's gone viral and sold out drops, and building the kind of social-first portfolio you can't get at a legacy fashion house. You'll also be exposed to the full operating picture of a clothing brand (production, sampling, photoshoots, drop launches), so you'll leave understanding how social fits into the broader machine. But your primary role is content and social media.

What You'll Do

  • Pitch and develop original content ideas across TikTok, Instagram Reels, and emerging platforms based on what's working in fashion, music, and culture right now
  • Shoot and edit short-form video content end to end (concept, capture, edit, caption, post)
  • Build mood boards and aesthetic direction for shoots, drops, and campaigns
  • Edit content across formats (carousels, photo edits, color grading, video production)
  • Help define how Shadowcorp's visual identity evolves on social
  • Assist with photoshoots, lookbooks, and campaign production
  • Help build and manage paid advertising campaigns on Meta, including ad creative production, audience setup, and performance analysis
  • Manage organic social media posting, scheduling, and engagement
  • Build and maintain community across social platforms
  • Research trends across fashion, music, and culture to inform content and brand direction
  • Attend regular meetings with the founding team and contribute creative input on content strategy, brand positioning, and drop execution
  • Support sales and marketing execution during product drops
  • Provide light support on outreach to manufacturers, suppliers, and production partners as needed

Who You Are

  • You have hands-on experience in social media marketing or content creation, whether for personal brand, school projects, freelance work, or other brands
  • You're tapped into underground fashion and music. You discover artists, brands, and trends before they break
  • You have a strong personal aesthetic and understand what makes content feel cool vs. generic
  • You're fluent in short-form content. You understand hooks, pacing, transitions, and what makes someone stop scrolling
  • You can build a mood board that actually captures a vibe, not just pretty images thrown together
  • You can pitch 10 content ideas for a single product without breaking a sweat
  • You're proficient in CapCut (required). Experience with Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects, or other editing tools is a strong plus
  • You use AI tools in your creative workflow and you're excited about pushing what's possible with them
  • You have creative ambitions of your own (fashion, film, music, design, or something else entirely)
  • You're self-directed, move fast, and don't need to be micromanaged
  • You're based in NYC or willing to meet in person 1-2x per week (open to fully remote for exceptional candidates)

What You'll Get

  • School credit
  • Performance-based pay. You get paid when your content goes viral or performs as an ad asset
  • Access to unreleased product and samples based on your performance
  • Direct mentorship from the founding team across content strategy, marketing, brand building, and growth
  • Hands-on training in Meta ads. You'll learn how to run paid campaigns, analyze ad performance, and optimize spend. A strong foundation if you're trying to break into paid or organic advertising
  • Inside access to how a fashion brand is built from scratch, from production to marketing to launch execution. If you plan on starting your own brand, this is the blueprint
  • Real portfolio work. Content you create will be seen by tens of thousands of people
  • Access to the founding team's network across major designers, artists, and labels
  • Ground-floor experience at a brand in its breakout phase, with real opportunities for growth as the brand scales
