About My Lil' Emotions
My Lil' Emotions is more than a children's brand — it is a movement. We create tangible SEL tools — a hardcover board book and a family of six character plushies — that help children aged 3 and up name, understand and express their emotions through play and connection.
Founded by a graphic designer and mother, inspired by her son's speech delay journey, My Lil' Emotions is in the final stages of production with an Amazon Canada and US launch imminent. Our website recently launched at www.mylilemotions.com and is currently undergoing final testing and refinements. We have 5 more products in the design and development pipeline.
Our vision is to become the most trusted SEL brand for early childhood in North America.
The Internship Opportunity
I am looking to place a Master of Marketing intern for 2 to 3 months — and I believe this is a genuinely rare opportunity for the right student.
This is not a passive internship. We are weeks away from our Amazon launch and I need someone who can hit the ground running across two key areas:
1. Social Media and Digital Marketing — Managing and growing our presence across Instagram, TikTok and Facebook — Creating and scheduling Reels, carousels, stories and posts using our existing brand assets — Implementing our fully developed 8-week marketing launch plan — Driving traffic from social media to our Amazon Canada and US listings — Growing our waitlist and email subscriber base
2. Professional Outreach and Business Development — Researching and building a contact database of paediatricians, speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists and early childhood educators across the Greater Toronto Area — Making introductory phone calls and sending emails to clinics and practices — Booking and conducting Zoom demonstrations of the product — Managing a sales pipeline and tracking preorders ahead of launch
This is real startup experience — the intern will see exactly how a product goes from production to Amazon launch and will have a direct, measurable impact on the outcome.
