Outreach and Marketing Specialist
Powered By Love, Inc. is a dynamic nonprofit organization transforming "Love in Action" into tangible community restoration. We are currently scaling our operations for our upcoming flagship community initiative, The 831 Experience. We are hiring two sharp, persuasive, and detail-oriented communicators to lead our outbound media pipelines and convert research data into verified community resources.
Position Purpose
As an Outreach & Marketing Specialist, you will take raw corporate research dossiers and determine the absolute best approach to lock in official support. You will craft and send professional email sequences, prepare formal physical documentation, and manage late-stage relationship tracking.
We are filling two distinct specialist seats through this posting. Please indicate your preferred track in your cover letter:
- Track 1: Capital Pipeline Specialist (Account Code: 6013) — The "Capital Closer" Focuses 100% on securing financial capital. This role converts research into signed corporate sponsorships, foundation grants, and premium table sales for our upcoming Gala.
- Track 2: Operational Logistics Specialist (Account Code: 6014) — The "Logistics Engine" Focuses 100% on building our zero-cash supply chain. This role handles outreach to lock down physical in-kind food services, supply donations (apparel/hygiene), corporate workplace giving portals, and university mobilization networks.
Core Responsibilities by Track
If you are selected for Track 1 (Capital Pipeline):
- Grant & Proposal Submission: Tailor, package, and formally submit cash applications ($2,500 – $25,000) to corporate foundations and banking institutions.
- Corporate Sponsorship Acquisition: Pitch and secure mid-tier corporate health equity partnerships ($1,000 – $5,000) across medical and dental networks.
- Gala & Experience Sales: Pitch professional service firms (Law, CPA, Wealth Management) to sell premium corporate seating packages and secure high-end silent auction experiences.
- Pipeline Integrity: Log all outbound pitch dates, response dispositions, and interaction statuses inside the shared Correspondence Tracker.
If you are selected for Track 2 (Operational Logistics):
- In-Kind Supply Procurement: Run high-volume outreach to restaurants, wholesalers, and retailers to secure 100% donated catering, backpacks, footwear, and hygiene items.
- Workplace Giving Activations: Pitch regional employers and technology hubs to establish employee payroll deduction portals (Benevity) and activate corporate matching programs.
- Higher Education Mobilization: Partner with ASU, GCU, and local community college departments to mobilize student volunteer networks, packing-day workforces, and clinical practicum support.
- Inventory Coordination: Track and map confirmed physical goods delivery schedules, providing real-time data hand-offs to our inventory team.
Project Timeline & Payout Structure
This contract features a Total Fixed Project Stipend of $1,500.00, disbursed in straight monthly installments:
- June 22 – June 30 (Onboarding & Template Architecture): Set up tracking software access permissions, finalize initial messaging templates, and review target dossiers.
- July 1 – July 31 (Primary Launch Wave): Deploy primary high-volume email sequences and pitch decks to target foundations or wholesale supply brands. (July 31 Payout:)
- August 1 – August 31 (The Mid-Tier & Co-Op Blitz): Execute rapid-fire follow-ups, pitch regional medical networks or local hospitality groups, and secure event catering. (August 31 Payout).
- September 1 – September 30 (Ticket Crunch & Closer Cycles): Collect outstanding corporate invoices, finalize university volunteer rosters, and complete final group ticket campaigns. (September 30 Payout).
Qualifications & Core Competencies
- Currently enrolled student (Marketing, Business Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Pre-Law, or a related discipline preferred).
- Exceptional written communication skills with the ability to write persuasive, professional, and clear corporate emails and letter text.
- High proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive) and digital pipeline tracking trackers.
- A fearless approach to outbound outreach and professional relationship-building.
- Reporting Structure: Reports directly to Kristen Quick, Director of Marketing & Partnerships.
