Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Editor to join our editorial team. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone looking to build a career in journalism while gaining exposure to the fast-growing private aviation industry.
You will play a key role in producing daily content, including original stories, news updates, and rewritten press releases covering charter brokers, operators, jet cards, and fractional ownership programs.
You will be writing for both Private Jet Card Comparisons and our new website Private Jet Charter Comparisons.
Key Responsibilities
- Network with charter operators and brokers to generate news content
- Write and publish 6-8 posts per day on private aviation topics related to fractional ownership, jet cards, memberships, on-demand charter and the companies that sell these services.
- Rewrite and enhance press releases into engaging, reader-friendly articles
- React to press releases and breaking news immediately during business hours to write-up news briefa
- Develop compelling, SEO-friendly headlines
- Conduct basic research to support accurate and timely reporting
- Self-edit content for clarity, accuracy, and consistency
- (We have Grammarly as a supporting tool)
- Use online editing and grammar tools to ensure high-quality output
- Upload and format content in WordPress

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or a related field
- Strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and meet daily deadlines
- Interest in private aviation, including learning and writing about specific programmatic offerings
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel and WordPress (or willingness to learn quickly)
- Ability to quickly understand industry terminology and trends
Preferred Skills
- Experience writing headlines and digital content
- Knowledge of SEO best practices
- Familiarity with online publishing workflows
