Sales/Account Manager

Job Title: Sales / Account Manager – IT Staffing

Location: Irvine, CA (Onsite)

About the Role

West Coast Consulting is looking for a dynamic and results-driven Sales/Account Manager to join our growing team in Irvine, CA. The ideal candidate will have experience in the IT staffing industry with a strong track record of generating new business, managing client relationships, and driving revenue growth.

This role requires a proactive professional who can develop new client partnerships while ensuring exceptional service delivery and account management for existing customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities within the IT staffing and consulting industry.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers, procurement teams, and key decision-makers.
  • Manage and grow existing client accounts by understanding their staffing needs and providing strategic workforce solutions.
  • Generate new leads through networking, referrals, cold calling, email campaigns, and industry events.
  • Collaborate closely with recruiters and delivery teams to ensure timely fulfillment of client requirements.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service agreements with clients.
  • Conduct regular client meetings, business reviews, and account planning sessions.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify growth opportunities.
  • Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts and activity tracking within CRM systems.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in IT Staffing Sales, Business Development, or Account Management.
  • Proven experience generating new business and managing client accounts.
  • Strong understanding of IT staffing, consulting services, and workforce solutions.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Existing network of clients and contacts within the IT staffing industry.
  • Experience working with direct clients, MSPs, and VMS platforms.
  • Knowledge of contract staffing, permanent placement, and statement-of-work (SOW) engagements.
