Since 2005, we have covered more than 145 schools through breaking news, game coverage, rankings, interviews, podcasts, radio shows, social media, and live events. Through partnerships with WLWT, ESPN 1530, FOX Sports 1360, and other community organizations, we connect thousands of fans with the stories, traditions, and excitement that make high school football special.

Our mission is simple: celebrate and promote high school football while creating memorable experiences for athletes, coaches, fans, and sponsors throughout the Tri-State region.

Position Overview

TriStateFootball.com is seeking two energetic, dependable, and passionate Sports Marketing & Events Interns to join our team for the Fall 2026 football season.

This is a hands-on opportunity to gain real-world experience in sports marketing, event management, sponsorship activation, social media, and fan engagement. Interns will play a key role in supporting our Blitz 5 Tour, one of the region's premier high school football event series, while helping deliver value to sponsors and creating memorable experiences for fans.

As TriStateFootball.com enters its 22nd season, interns will have the opportunity to contribute to an established media brand that reaches thousands of high school football fans throughout the region each week.

If you enjoy sports, live events, social media, and being part of the action on Friday nights, this internship provides valuable experience and exposure that can help launch a career in sports, media, marketing, communications, or event management.

Availability for most Friday nights from late August through October is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with planning, setup, execution, and breakdown of Blitz 5 Tour events.
  • Support sponsor activations and help ensure partner deliverables are fulfilled.
  • Represent TriStateFootball.com professionally at games, events, and community appearances.
  • Capture photos, videos, and fan interactions for social media and digital platforms.
  • Create and publish content before, during, and after events.
  • Engage with fans, players, coaches, and sponsors during live events.
  • Assist with promotional campaigns across website, social media, podcast, radio, and event platforms.
  • Help coordinate giveaways, contests, and fan engagement activities.
  • Collect feedback and insights to improve future events and activations.
  • Support additional marketing initiatives and special projects throughout the football season.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Sports Management, Communications, Journalism, Business, or a related field.
  • Passion for sports and interest in high school athletics.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively.
  • Available most Friday nights during football season.
  • Reliable transportation throughout the Greater Cincinnati region.
  • Familiarity with major social media platforms.
  • Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, photography, video editing, or content creation is a plus, but not required.
