The Future of Computing (Founding Brand Evangelist)
About Phoenix Nova & Our Mission
Computers are among the most important tools ever created.
Over the last fifty years, we have made them faster, more powerful, more accessible, and easier to use than ever before. That is an extraordinary achievement.
We mastered using computers. Now we need the path to understanding them.
When a child wants to learn music, we put an instrument in their hands. When they want to play a sport, we let them step onto the field. When they want to learn to read, we give them books and teach them the language itself.
Computing should be no different.
Society needs people who understand computing deeply. We are creating a modern hardware and software platform and ecosystem built around understanding, exploration, creation, and ownership. It is designed to make computing approachable. It is not a toy, a coding game, or another educational app. It provides the core of our mission: opportunity.
That doesn't fit neatly into existing categories, and we are looking for someone who is ready to own something new.
What You'll Do
Your job is not to run ad campaigns or manage a marketing calendar. You are driving the mission with us.
You will work directly with the founder to:
* Build and engage early communities
* Talk with parents, educators, creators, developers, and prospective users
* Reach out to schools, homeschool groups, libraries, makerspaces, and organizations
* Identify opportunities, objections, patterns, and insights
* Test messaging and positioning
* Help shape how our system is presented to the world
* Represent the company at events, meetups, online communities, and conversations where our mission resonates
This role combines community building, outreach, customer discovery, product strategy, and entrepreneurship. You will become one of the primary voices connecting the mission to the people it was built for.
Who We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who wants to help pioneer something meaningful, impactful and with strong global potential.
The ideal candidate:
* Communicates clearly and naturally
* Is curious about people and how they think
* Enjoys meeting new people and building relationships
* Is comfortable with uncertainty and exploration
* Wants ownership rather than a script
* Is energized by new ideas and ambitious missions
* Is excited by the challenge of helping define a category rather than fitting into an existing one
Experience is welcome, but not required.
We care far more about initiative, curiosity, communication, and conviction than a particular degree, résumé, or job title.
What We Offer
We are a lean, bootstrapped company. This position begins as a paid, part-time contract with an expected duration of 3 months to ensure we are a mutual fit. For the right person, this may transition into a permanent role and the opportunity to help shape the future direction of the company.
Workspace & Collaboration
This is a remote-first role with a preference for candidates in the Boise area to allow in-person collaboration.
How to Apply
Please submit your résumé and a brief cover letter.
In your cover letter, please answer the following question:
What is a product, community, movement, or idea that you became genuinely excited about, and what made it compelling to you?
