Audio editor for a globally syndicated punk rock radio show

JXB Media is currently seeking candidates who would like to be part of our radio production team in the role of audio editor / producer.
Nature of the position:
Post production audio editor / producer
In this role for JXB Media, the student will contribute to a radio program production by assisting in audio editing and asset management for a globally syndicated radio program that airs in three different countries on a plethora of radio stations.
Student will be mentored in post production editing, asset management and other facets and nuances that revolve around post production of audio for broadcast.
In this role you will learn how to use Davinci resolve if you wish. Its free and we offer a complete tutorial track for it as well as mentorship and supervision.
In addition you will learn asset management using up to date techniques, team collaboration, interpretation of scripts, and so much more.
The project
Lost in the static is a globally syndicated radio program focused on punk rock, alternative and other adjacent genres of music. It goes out to three different countries on several radio stations on a weekly basis. We need an audio editor who can take all the audio assets, put them together according to strict guidelines and contribute to producing the show on a weekly basis.
This includes but is not limited to:
Receiving the audio assets like voice over, sweeps, stingers, intros, and other audio elements and using it along with the script to create the show following a strict template and guidelines.
Processing and distribution of the show to our affiliates.
Helping in other places as desired.
Qualifications and skills:
Be enthusiastic about punk rock and alternative music
Communicate clearly, honestly and often
Be able to take advice and ongoing training from professionals with over 30 years combined experience
Use Discord for team communication
Learn new softwares and skills
Requirements:
This position will require an average of 10 hours per week.
Student will be required to:
- Assist in post production audio editing
- Learn the use of a digital audio and video workstation
- Communicate with the team via discord
- Have a desire to learn new skills and become a better person
- Have a desire to learn new softwares like Davinci resolve…
Expectations/responsibilities for interns:
As a part of JXB Media, the student will be working closely with other interns, professionals and well seasoned veterans of the audio, radio, media and television industry, remotely, through the use of teamwork apps and other applicable softwares such as google suite, zoom, ftp, dropbox, discord, etc.
Student will be supervised and/or mentored by trained professionals with 30+ years combined experience and required to have a weekly meeting with the program director to discuss progress, goals, ongoing mentoring, etc. This is conducted remotely over zoom, google meet, discord video, etc.
Approx. expected working hours at minimum per week: 10

Student should expect and acknowledge the following:
- This position is strictly for internship/volunteer purposes and is non paid.
- The extent of the students training will involve working with software commonly available or like that of what would be found in a commercial radio station.
- Students will also learn performance techniques for radio DJ/presenting, along with other applicable skills, attributes, and necessities that a Radio DJ would be required to know.
- Students seeking internship credit should check with their career center, advisor or otherwise department in charge of their internship credits to make their credit valid.
- Interns at JXB Media are not guaranteed or promised any form of employment or compensation either during or after their internship is complete.
