Position Summary

Concrete Hospitality Group is seeking a Marketing Intern with a passion for storytelling, branding, and guest engagement. This role provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in marketing strategy, digital engagement, content creation, and event promotion within the fast-paced hospitality and food & beverage industry. The Marketing Intern will play a key role in developing creative campaigns, supporting brand initiatives, and executing promotional strategies that enhance customer experiences and drive engagement.

What You’ll Do

Brand & Content Marketing

  • Assist in developing and executing marketing campaigns for restaurants, lounges, event spaces, and entertainment venues.
  • Support the creation of digital content, including flyers, newsletters, signage, and event invitations.
  • Collaborate on social media content by refining copy, curating imagery, and aligning messaging with brand voice.
    Participate in venue photoshoots, assisting with lighting, staging, and content curation for visual storytelling.

  • Help manage and update marketing collateral, including printed and digital materials.

Event & Promotional Marketing

  • Support the planning, promotion, and execution of special events, ticketed parties, and seasonal activations (e.g., Mother’s day, Summer activations, Fourth of July, Fall Fashion Week, Pop-ups).
  • Contribute to local neighborhood outreach programs and targeted demand generator initiatives.
  • Assist with public relations efforts, including press releases, agency coordination, and media outreach.
  • Monitor and update digital listings (Google, Yelp, TripAdvisor, OpenTable) to ensure brand consistency.
  • Support venue teams during activations to help execute promotional campaigns and enhance the guest experience.

Live Event Production & Promotions

  • Assist with the setup, breakdown, and transportation of event production equipment, including speakers, lighting, DJ equipment, barricades, and event infrastructure.
  • Conduct pre-event sound checks alongside DJs, performers, and production staff to ensure equipment is functioning properly.
  • Support basic audio, lighting, and production operations during live events and activations.
  • Coordinate performer and artist arrivals while assisting with event timelines and production schedules.
  • Serve as a welcoming point of contact for DJs, performers, promoters, and entertainment partners.
  • Assist with artist hospitality, green room preparation, and advance requests.
  • Help maintain organized production, backstage, and storage areas while ensuring equipment remains event-ready.
  • Support venue management with crowd flow, event logistics, and operational execution during high-volume events.

Market Research & Analytics

  • Conduct competitive analysis and industry research to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Track marketing campaign performance, offering insights and recommendations for optimization.
  • Support the analysis of social media and web analytics to refine content strategy.
  • Assist in guest data collection and targeted marketing efforts to enhance engagement.

Administrative & Operational Support

  • Update and print venue menus, ensuring consistency across platforms, and alignment within brand guidelines 
  • Assist in monitoring and responding to online reviews, collaborating with the team to improve guest satisfaction.
  • Attend weekly marketing and venue meetings, taking notes and tracking key action points.
  • Maintain marketing databases and email lists for customer engagement.
  • Provide administrative support for marketing projects, including budget tracking, vendor coordination, and filing.

Who You Are

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Hospitality, Communications, Event Management, Music Business, Entertainment Management, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in hospitality, live events, nightlife, music, entertainment, and guest experience.
  • Proficient in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides) and social media platforms.
  • Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Mailchimp, or similar marketing tools is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with guests, artists, vendors, and team members.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to remain calm and professional under pressure during live events.
  • Flexible and available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
  • Professional in appearance, demeanor, and guest interaction.
  • Spanish fluency is a plus.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Must be comfortable standing, walking, bending, and moving equipment for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in loud environments with high levels of music and crowd activity.
  • Comfortable working in a high-volume, high-energy atmosphere where priorities can shift quickly.
