Sales Arborist

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Sales Arborist to join our team and drive growth within our tree care business. As a key player in our sales division, you will leverage your expertise in arboriculture and business development to build strong client relationships, identify new opportunities, and promote our comprehensive range of tree management solutions. Duties

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to target new business opportunities within assigned territories, focusing on B2B (business-to-business) clients such as municipalities, property managers, and commercial developers
  • Conduct outside sales activities including cold calling, client meetings, product demonstrations, and site assessments to generate leads and close sales
  • Manage existing accounts by providing excellent customer service, upselling additional services, and maintaining ongoing communication to ensure client retention and satisfaction
  • Utilize CRM software like Salesforce to track leads, manage customer interactions, analyze sales data, and forecast future growth opportunities
  • Lead territory management efforts by identifying high-potential markets, analyzing competition, and developing tailored marketing strategies to maximize outreach
  • Present technical product demos that highlight the benefits of our arboricultural solutions while addressing client needs effectively
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with clients, ensuring mutually beneficial terms that support long-term relationships

Requirements

  • Proven experience in outside sales, business development, or technical sales within the landscaping, forestry, or related industries
  • Understanding of tree species, growth habits, diseases, mitigation strategies, and pruning types.
  • Familiarity with estimating inputs on a job.
  • Strong knowledge of arboriculture practices combined with excellent management skills for handling multiple accounts and territories
  • Familiarity with CRM software such as Salesforce or similar platforms for lead generation and customer relationship management
  • Exceptional negotiation skills paired with a customer-focused approach to problem-solving
  • Demonstrated success in B2B sales environments with a focus on territory management and direct outreach strategies
  • Excellent analysis skills to interpret market data, identify trends, and adapt sales tactics accordingly
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; physical ability to visit job sites regularly in outdoor environments
