Creative Residency — Marketing & Content | Parasol Projects

About Parasol Projects Parasol Projects is New York City's full-service pop-up and experiential activation agency. We've produced over 1,400 activations across 10 locations in SoHo, Nolita, NoHo, Williamsburg, and Miami, partnering with fashion, beauty, lifestyle, CPG, and tech brands — from emerging DTC labels to globally recognized names like New Balance, TikTok, Ipsy, FabFitFun, and KraneShares — to bring their brands to life in physical space.

About the Residency This isn't a coffee-and-spreadsheets internship. The Parasol Creative Residency is a hands-on, semester-long placement inside a fast-moving experiential agency where real brands are activating every week. You'll work directly with our Marketing Director, contribute to live campaigns, and leave with a professional portfolio and real industry skills.

What you'll do

  • Photograph and film brand activations across our NYC locations
  • Edit photo and video content for Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and client deliverables
  • Assist with social media scheduling and community management
  • Support pop-up listing updates, Google Business Profile uploads, and content filing
  • Contribute to email campaign execution and CRM management
  • Assist with press tasks including press releases and media outreach
  • Collaborate on campaign strategy and marketing reporting

Details

  • Duration: One semester (approx. 15–18 weeks), with potential to renew
  • Hours: 15–20 hours per week, flexible around your class schedule
  • Location: On-site at activations across NYC + hybrid remote for editing and admin
  • Stipend: Monthly stipend provided
  • Start date: September 2026

You're a good fit if you are

  • Studying marketing, communications, fashion, journalism, media, or a related field
  • A strong visual eye — confident with a phone or camera
  • Familiar with Instagram, TikTok, and basic editing tools (CapCut, Lightroom, or similar)
  • Organized, proactive, and comfortable in a fast-moving environment
  • Genuinely excited about experiential marketing, brand activations, and the NYC creative scene
