UI Front-End Design & Graphic Design Intern

Role Summary

HERS365 is seeking a creative and detail-oriented UI Front-End Design & Graphic Design Intern to help shape the visual identity and digital user experience of our platform. This role is ideal for students interested in UI/UX design, graphic design, digital media, web design, branding, or visual communications who are looking to gain real-world experience while building a professional portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Design user interface concepts, wireframes, mockups, and visual assets for web and mobile experiences
  • Create graphics for social media, email campaigns, presentations, marketing materials, and promotional initiatives
  • Assist in improving user experience and visual consistency across digital platforms
  • Develop branded creative assets aligned with organizational guidelines
  • Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams on design projects and platform enhancements
  • Support front-end design implementation by preparing design specifications and visual assets
  • Contribute creative ideas for campaigns, features, events, and user engagement initiatives
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions, design reviews, and creative planning meetings

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a degree in Graphic Design, UI/UX Design, Web Design, Digital Media, Visual Communications, Marketing, or a related field
  • Experience using design tools such as Figma, Canva, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe XD, or similar platforms
  • Understanding of visual design principles, typography, color theory, and layout design
  • Familiarity with website and mobile design best practices
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

Portfolio Submission Requirement

Applicants must submit a portfolio showcasing relevant design work as part of their application. This is a mandatory requirement for consideration.


 

Portfolio examples may include:

  • UI/UX projects
  • Website or app designs
  • Wireframes and prototypes
  • Branding and identity projects
  • Social media graphics
  • Marketing materials
  • Digital campaigns
  • Creative design work demonstrating technical and visual design skills

Applications submitted without a portfolio will be automatically disqualified from the review process.

Communication & Accountability Requirement

Because this is a remote-first internship, consistent communication is required.

Important Note: Interns must be available to attend a recurring 30-minute team status meeting to collaborate with leadership and cross-functional departments, provide project updates, and stay aligned on organizational priorities.

All interns must complete check-ins every:

  • Tuesday
  • Thursday
  • Sunday

Check-ins must be submitted via text, email, or the designated team communication channel and must include:

  • Current progress
  • Completed tasks
  • Upcoming availability
  • Any issues, questions, or support needs

Failure to maintain consistent communication may result in removal from the program.
