Clinical Director Job Description
Under the direction and supervision of the CEO, the Clinical Director is responsible for the implementation, management, and supervision of the organization’s clinic in accordance with the standards set by the CEO and Board of Directors.
The Clinical Director will work within the policies, guidelines, and mission of the organization and is accountable for specific projects, deadlines, and deliverables. The position requires an intelligent, results-oriented, team player with excellent clinical, management, and interpersonal skills.
JOB CLASSIFICATION
The position is full-time with set weekly office hours.
PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
CLINICAL TASKS:
- Manage clinical goals, deliverables, and outcomes
- Develop, monitor, and improve clinical processes and procedures
- Limited caseload of individual therapy clients, if applicable
- Facilitate clinical supervision to meet agency needs
- Ensure accuracy of all client records; meet and report grant deliverables; and evaluate outcomes across all services, including assessments and surveys
- Lead clinical team meetings and trainings
- Update Clinical Manual bi-annually for onboarding, trainings, and operations
- Monitor annual HIPAA compliance and related plans and trainings
- Assist with improving intake processes
- With the CEO/COO, ensure adequate staff and resources to meet strategic goals
- With the CEO/COO, ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements, including HIPAA and the Code of Ethics (LPC, LPC-A, LMFT, LMSW and LCSW)
- Other tasks & duties as assigned by CEO
PROGRAM MANAGEMENT:
- Responsible for supervision of Phoenix Center therapists and interns
- Assist with outreach, presentations, and trainings in collaboration with team
- Responsible for accuracy of all records and grant deliverables
- Responsible for effective implementation and utilization of software across all programs, to include reporting, training, and adjusting processes / policies to meet strategic goals
- Participation in a limited number of annual Phoenix Center events is required, including one or more fundraisers, with flex time provided
- Other tasks & duties as assigned by CEO
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Requirements: Must have master’s degree in Social Work or Counseling, Texas professional licensure in good standing: LPC, LCSW, and LPC-S or LCSW-S Board Approved Supervisor licensure is preferred. Three or more years of management experience is preferred. A qualified applicant will have proven leadership skills, and specialized training utilizing trauma-informed and evidence-based modalities, including play therapy.
- Five or more years of relevant professional experience
- Relevant past management and clinical supervision experience
- RPT (Registered Play Therapist) or RPT-S certification in good standing, or actively working towards RPT certification is preferred, but not required
- Experience with electronic health record software and clinical assessments
- Requires ability to prioritize and multi-task, manage multiple projects, advise, and manage others, and use sound judgment in making clinical decisions
- Requires high attention to detail and exemplary follow-through
- Requires excellent interpersonal communication, and leadership and management skills, and successful prior experience managing a team
- Requires a self-motivated and highly driven individual with excellent time management, planning and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Excel, and other Microsoft programs, and ability to quickly learn processes and new software
