Public Relations Account Lead

The Role

This is a senior, client-facing role.

The Account Lead operates as the strategic driver for 1–2 client accounts—translating big ideas into press opportunities, shaping angles, and guiding campaigns from concept to coverage.

You are not just executing—you are thinking, connecting, and leading.

 

Key Responsibilities

Lead strategy for assigned client accounts

Identify timely angles, storylines, and media opportunities

Build connections between client work and current news cycles

Guide pitching direction and media targeting

Oversee and refine press materials (press releases, op-eds, talking points)

Manage client communication and campaign momentum

Collaborate with Junior Publicists on execution

Contribute to overall firm strategy and positioning

 

QualificationsRequired

5+ years in PR, media, or journalism

Proven success securing earned media placements

Strong strategic thinking and editorial instincts

Ability to identify newsworthy angles quickly

Excellent communication and client management skills

 

Preferred

Experience with national media

Background in policy, culture, or systems-level storytelling

Compensation & Logistics

Starting: $2,000 per month
