About the Role
HERS365 is seeking a creative and motivated Graphic Design Intern to support our branding, marketing, and communications efforts. This internship is ideal for students or emerging designers looking to gain hands-on experience while building a professional portfolio. The selected candidate will help create engaging visual content that supports our programs, events, and community initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Design promotional flyers, event graphics, and marketing materials for digital and print use.
- Create engaging social media content, including graphics, stories, posts, and campaign assets.
- Design email marketing content, including email banners, graphics, and branded visual elements.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain consistent branding across all platforms.
- Assist with creative projects that support organizational growth, outreach, and engagement.
- Revise and update existing designs based on feedback and project needs.
Qualifications
- Experience using Canva, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Photoshop.
- Ability to create professional flyers, social media content, and email marketing graphics.
- Strong understanding of layout, typography, color, and visual storytelling.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Creative, self-motivated, and eager to learn in a collaborative environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience designing for nonprofit organizations, student organizations, or community initiatives.
- Knowledge of social media trends and digital marketing best practices.
- Basic understanding of branding and content strategy.

Communication & Accountability Requirement
Because this is a remote-first internship, consistent communication is required.
All interns must complete check-ins every:
- Tuesday
- Thursday
- Sunday
Check-ins must be submitted via text, email, or the designated team communication channel and must include:
- Current progress
- Completed tasks
- Upcoming availability
- Any issues, questions, or support needs
- Failure to maintain consistent communication may result in removal from the program.
