About Miami SCORES

America SCORES is the nation’s only after school program that empowers students in urban communities using soccer, writing, creative expression, and service-learning. America SCORES inspires youth to lead healthy lives, be engaged students, and have the confidence and character to make a difference in the world. Founded in 2024, the Miami SCORES chapter provides unique after school and summer programming for approximately 250 Miami-Dade County Title I Public School youth in the upcoming school year through soccer, creative writing, and service-learning to measurably improve fitness, literacy, and community engagement.

Miami SCORES youth will be walking out as the player escorts at 4 of the Miami FIFA World Cup matches, and 22 youth will be meeting together at a school location in Liberty City to get on the bus and travel to the match. Students have to be there 6 hours before the match, so this opportunity will take place in the morning.

  • Create short-form social media clips for Instagram
  • Ensure all content follows youth safeguarding and consent protocols
  • Maintain organized media archives for all four match-day experiences
  • Submit a brief recap log after each capture day
  • Submit a final story using captured content from the pre-match departures along with any content that our team was able to capture in stadium or post-match
    • A short documentary (10-15 minutes) capturing Miami SCORES’ 2026 World Cup legacy story and showing how global events create local community impact
    • A curated archive of student-centered pre-departure media
    • A series of short-form digital storytelling clips

Qualifications:

  • Comfortable filming in dynamic school and community environments
  • Strong interpersonal skills with youth and diverse communities
  • Dependable, flexible, and detail-oriented
  • Soccer experience (playing, coaching, or strong fandom) preferred
