Program Assistant
Pay range is $15-$17 per hour
Hours per week: 20-25, flexible schedule
2 positions available: 1 in Pocatello, 1 in Shoshone County, Idaho
Job Description: Assist the ISU AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP program Project Director in developing and implementing outreach strategies to increase program participation among older adults. Coordinate recruitment campaigns and build relationships with community partners to increase program awareness and recruit program participants, volunteers, volunteer stations, and community partners. May be asked to represent the program at community events and networking opportunities. Other tasks include soliciting donations for the program, calling volunteers and participants, and communicating with community agencies about the program.
Key Responsibilities: Organize and coordinate recruitment and informational campaigns; manage community outreach efforts; and keep in contact with program volunteers and participants.
Minimum Qualifications:
Required Skills: strong interpersonal and communication skills, including with older adult population; basic marketing and outreach skills (in-person and digital); organizational skills to manage multiple outreach efforts; public speaking or presentation experience; and basic computer proficiency. Must be reliable and responsive in communicating with program leadership.
Preferred Skills: experience in community engagement, outreach, or grassroots organizing; experience with social media marketing platforms.
Additional Information:
Qualifications: education or work experience in fields like communications, public health, social work, marketing, or related area preferred.
One year of relevant experience in outreach, recruiting, or marketing roles preferred.
Experience working with older adults is preferred.
Must be able to work independently when needed and be self-motivated.
