UI/UX Creative Design Intern

Human‑AI Interaction, UI/UX & Creative Design Intern (EchoAI + EchoBloom)

About the Role

The Human‑AI Interaction, UI/UX & Creative Design Intern will contribute to both EchoAI and EchoBloom, IPMD’s two core initiatives focused on emotional AI, human–AI interaction, accessibility, and creative digital experiences. You will design interfaces, visual assets, and multimedia content that support emotional expression, communication, and inclusion for global communities. This role blends design, creativity, storytelling, and human‑centered thinking across AI‑powered and socially impactful platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design UI/UX components for EchoAI’s emotional computing tools and EchoBloom’s virtual galleries and creative platforms
  • Create visual assets including fine‑art image cards, icons, layouts, and digital illustrations
  • Produce short‑form videos for product demos, emotional AI storytelling, and community engagement
  • Develop motion graphics, simple animations, or visual transitions for video content
  • Collaborate with AI engineers and researchers to integrate design into functional prototypes
  • Contribute to accessibility‑focused design for individuals with intellectual disabilities, autism, dementia, and developmental conditions
  • Support creative direction for campaigns, digital exhibitions, and social impact initiatives

Required Skills

  • Experience with design tools (Figma, Adobe XD, Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar)
  • Basic video editing skills (Premiere Pro, Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve, or similar)
  • Strong visual communication and layout design abilities
  • Understanding of user‑centered and accessibility‑focused design principles
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a creative, fast‑moving environment
  • Ability to use AI‑assisted design tools (e.g., Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, Runway, or similar) to generate concepts, visuals, and creative assets
  • Familiarity with AI‑powered video generation tools (e.g., Veo 3.1, Runway Gen‑2, Pika, or similar) for producing short‑form videos, motion graphics, or creative storytelling content

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with motion graphics or animation (After Effects or similar)
  • Interest in emotional AI, human–AI interaction, or digital art
  • Experience designing for diverse or underserved communities
  • Familiarity with storytelling, content creation, or visual narrative design
