Eco-Trip Marketing Intern (Remote)

Position Overview
We are seeking a focused, self-motivated, and cause-driven Eco-Trip Marketing Intern to join our team for a minimum of 6 months. This role is centered on promoting Turtle Up's new Eco-Trips to various audiences. You will develop and execute targeted outreach strategies, craft compelling trip-specific content, and help facilitate relationships with individual travelers, schools, and corporate or organizational partners interested in conservation travel experiences.

Details

  • Hours: Flexible, remote, part-time or full-time options available. Minimum availability of around 15-20 hrs/week.
  • Commitment: 6-month minimum commitment.
  • Compensation: Unpaid, but offers valuable hands-on experience and résumé-building opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Eco-Trip Campaign Development: Design and execute targeted marketing campaigns for our new Eco-Trips, tailoring messaging and outreach strategies for distinct audiences.
  • Eco-Trip Content Creation: Produce content, including graphics, promotional flyers, informational packets, and short-form videos (Reels/TikToks) that convey the unique value of Turtle Up's Eco-Trips.
  • Social Media & Digital Promotion: Schedule and publish Eco-Trip promotional content across Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn, adapting tone and format for each platform and audience type.
  • Targeted Email Outreach: Draft and send segmented email campaigns promoting upcoming Eco-Trips to distinct audience groups with messaging tailored to each group's interests and goals.
  • Institutional & Partnership Outreach: Research and reach out to potential private-sector partners (such as universities, K-12 schools, environmental clubs, and corporate CSR programs) to promote Eco-Trip opportunities.
  • Booking & Campaign Analytics: Track and report on key metrics for each Eco-Trip campaign, such as engagement, clicks, and inquiries, and use findings to refine future outreach tactics.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • A Passion for the Planet: A genuine interest in marine conservation, sea turtles, and sustainable travel.
  • Academic Background: Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Tourism/Hospitality, Environmental Studies, or a related field.
  • Content Creation Skills: Proficiency with design tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite, and a good eye for photography/video editing.
  • Strong Communicator: Strong written communication skills with the ability to adapt tone and messaging for different audiences.
  • Personal Qualities: Must have strong interpersonal skills, ability to collaborate across teams, meet deadlines, respond in a timely manner, are self-motivated, and inquisitive!
  • Commitment & Reliability: Ability to commit to a minimum of 6 months and manage deadlines without consistent direct supervision.
