Job Title: Client Development Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking a passionate, driven and client-focused Client Development Specialist to join our growing team.  The ideal candidate will have experience in business development or corporate finance. The main focus of this role is to assist in the Strategy Development and Execution of the Business Development function. Main responsibilities (not all encompassing) listed below.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Assist in the development and implementation of strategies to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base.
  • Lead Generation: Research, identify, and qualify leads from various sources, including marketing campaigns, cold calls, emails, social media, industry events, and market research.
  • Outreach: Conduct outreach activities via phone, email, and social media to engage with prospects and generate interest in MDG’s offerings.
    • Cold Calling is primary outreach channel.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
  • Sales and Negotiation: Assist in sales efforts and negotiating contracts with clients.
  • Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends and competitors to provide valuable insights and feedback to the team.
  • Sales Support: Schedule meetings and calls between potential clients and our recruiting team, ensuring a smooth handover.
  • CRM Management: Maintain accurate records of all lead interactions and update lead status in the CRM system.
  • Reporting: Track and report on sales activities, lead generation efforts, and outcomes.
  • Goal Management: Works toward exceeding predetermined quotas set by his/her supervisor.
  • Continuous Education: Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Recruiting Support: When necessary, support the recruiting team on an array of activities including, but not limited to: conducting client intake meetings, posting jobs, candidate prospecting, resume screening, candidate interviews, client/candidate interview management, record keeping, networking, talent pipeline management, and candidate relationship management.

MUST Haves:

  • Must be awesome at opening doors and getting appointments from cold calling.

  • Must be extremely process oriented, with a commitment to building and following them when necessary.

Desired Requirements & Skills:

  • Experience: 3-5 years in either Business Development or Corporate Finance.
  • Client Management Skills: Ability to establish and maintain long-term relationships with clients.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Possess necessary interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and build relationships both inside and outside the organization.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal & written communication.
  • Negotiation Skills: Experience in negotiating with the ability to influence and persuade others.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: The ability to outline a problem, do the necessary research to identify a solution, and then the ability to implement and execute that solution.
  • Process Management Skills: The ability to develop, maintain, and leverage processes.
  • Presentation Skills: Ability to build and present presentations as necessary to key clients and management.
  • Technology Proficiency: Knowledge of CRM systems, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), and proficiency with the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • Misc. Skills: Able to work both independently and as part of a team; excellent organization and time management skills; ability and willingness to cold call, & excellent ability to adapt.
