Marketing Copywriter & Communications Associate (Entry Level)
Position Overview
We are seeking an entry-level Marketing Copywriter & Communications Associate to support written content, campaign messaging, and general marketing communications across our consumer retail and B2B business lines. This role is focused on writing clear, polished, and effective copy for emails, social media, websites, advertisements, sales materials, blog content, customer communications, and campaign assets.
The ideal candidate is a strong writer who can adapt tone and messaging for different audiences. This includes consumer-facing content for jewelry, luxury resale, watches, precious metals, and local retail, as well as B2B content for IT asset disposition, data destruction, value recovery, sustainability, and commercial services.
This position is well suited for a recent graduate or early-career candidate with a background in writing, journalism, communications, marketing, advertising, English, creative writing, or public relations.
Key Responsibilities
Copywriting & Editing
- Write and edit copy for email campaigns, SMS campaigns, website pages, landing pages, blog posts, social media captions, advertisements, brochures, one-pagers, and promotional materials
- Adapt copy for different audiences, including retail customers, jewelry sellers, luxury buyers, business decision-makers, IT managers, finance teams, and operations leaders
- Turn rough ideas, product details, service descriptions, and internal notes into clear customer-facing copy
- Proofread and edit marketing materials for grammar, clarity, tone, accuracy, and consistency
Campaign Messaging Support
- Assist in developing campaign messaging for promotions, store initiatives, product features, service offerings, events, direct mail, and lead generation campaigns
- Help create headline options, calls to action, ad copy, subject lines, preview text, and landing page messaging
- Support message testing by developing variations for ads, emails, landing pages, and social posts
- Work with team members to ensure copy is aligned with campaign goals and brand standards
Website, Email & CRM Content
- Support updates to website and landing page copy across multiple brands
- Help write email and SMS campaign content for promotions, education, customer retention, and re-engagement
- Assist with lifecycle messaging, automated email flows, customer follow-ups, and event communications
- Write clear service descriptions and educational copy that helps customers understand what we do and why it matters
Educational & Long-Form Content
- Research and draft educational content related to jewelry care, watches, diamonds, precious metals, resale, retail buying and selling, IT asset disposition, data security, compliance, recycling, and sustainability
- Assist in writing blog posts, guides, FAQs, case studies, customer stories, whitepapers, and sales enablement materials
- Help simplify complex topics into content that is easy for customers and prospects to understand
Brand Voice & Communication Quality
- Help maintain consistent tone, voice, and messaging across brands and channels
- Support the development of internal messaging guides, copy templates, and reusable content frameworks
- Review existing content and recommend improvements for clarity, engagement, and conversion
- Collaborate with creative, website, paid media, analytics, and operations team members to improve marketing communications
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree completed or nearing completion in English, Creative Writing, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations, or a related field
- Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and communication skills
- Ability to write clearly for different audiences and channels
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow style, tone, and brand guidelines
- Ability to manage multiple writing assignments and deadlines in a collaborative environment
- Willingness to learn about jewelry, watches, precious metals, luxury resale, IT asset disposition, data destruction, sustainability, and B2B services
Preferred
- Internship, coursework, student publication, portfolio, blog, newsletter, social media, agency, or personal project experience related to writing or marketing
- Writing samples that demonstrate clarity, structure, creativity, or persuasive communication
- Interest in marketing psychology, advertising, storytelling, brand voice, or customer education
- Familiarity with tools such as Google Docs, Microsoft Word, Canva, WordPress, HubSpot, Mailchimp, Klaviyo, or similar platforms
- Basic understanding of SEO, email marketing, social media, or digital advertising
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a strong writer who enjoys making complex ideas simple, clear, and engaging. This person should be comfortable writing in different formats, from short ad headlines and social captions to longer educational pieces and campaign materials.
They do not need to be an expert in jewelry, luxury goods, precious metals, or ITAD on day one. However, they should be curious, detail-oriented, and excited to learn enough about each business to write with accuracy and confidence.
