Lycée Français de New York is an accredited private school committed to bilingual French and American education of the highest standard. Our mission is to prepare students of many origins to be thinkers, innovators and leaders, at home in the world.
For the 2026-2027 school year, Lycée Français de New York is seeking part-time staff to join our After-School team. This versatile role involves supporting the safety, well-being, and active engagement of students ranging from preschool through elementary age (3–10 years old).
Key Responsibilities
- Supervision: Lead and/or supervise children during indoor and outdoor recess, snack time, and indoor free play.
- Activity Support: Provide essential support to after-school club teachers and/or lead specific activities such as storytime or art projects for younger learners.
- Student Safety: Play a key role in ensuring a secure and supportive environment for all children during after-school hours.
- Dismissal: Assist with the organized dismissal of children at the end of the day.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: Prior experience working with school-age and/or preschool-age children is required. Candidates should be comfortable working collaboratively with students, teachers, and staff.
- Education Mindset: Must be a supportive team player capable of engaging with different developmental stages (especially children under 4 and/or elementary students ages 5–10).
- Language Skills: Bilingualism in French and English is required for preschool-focused roles and highly preferred (though not required) for elementary monitoring roles.
Employment Details
- Schedule: Part-time | Monday through Friday
- Hours: 2:15 PM – 5:45 PM
- Start Date: August 25th, 2026
- Compensation: $30 per hour (commensurate with experience and specific program role)
