Business Development / Marketing Intern
Extra Solid Media, LLC is launching Dining Connect, a campus dining software platform for universities. Dining Connect helps self-operated dining programs modernize their mobile apps, websites, and real-time operations data in one university-branded platform.
We are a lean, agile startup currently consisting of three developers. As we prepare to scale, we are looking for our first-ever client-facing hire. This is a high-impact role where you will work directly with the founder to bridge the gap between our technology and the universities we serve.
The Mission: Conference & Growth Focus
The primary focus of this internship is to help us prepare for and execute a successful presence at an upcoming University Hospitality / Campus Dining Conference.
You will work alongside the founder as the face of Dining Connect to build rapport and ensure a lasting professional impression on all potential university partners. If you excel in this role, there is a clear path to transition into a Project Manager, where you would own and manage these long-term client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the founder during client discovery sessions by capturing detailed notes and identifying key follow-up items.
- Identify and research key decision-makers within university dining programs to build targeted prospect lists.
- Maintain the business development pipeline by tracking all engagement and ensuring timely follow-up.

- You possess the organizational skills and reliability required to manage complex event logistics and follow-ups.
- You have a strong interest in hospitality, higher education, or the fast-paced nature of startup growth.
