PC Enthusiast Generalist — BuildCores

BuildCores is a 3D PC and setup configurator with over 1 million monthly active users. Our goal is to build the best platform for planning, visualizing, and buying custom PCs, gaming setups, and workstations.

We’re looking for a PC enthusiast generalist who can help across many areas of the business. This is a flexible, hands-on role for someone who deeply understands PC hardware, gaming setups, and the PC building community.

You’ll work directly with the founding team and help with everything from community support to QA, content, product data, and operations.

Responsibilities

You may help with:

  • Answering community questions and helping users with PC builds
  • Testing the BuildCores website and mobile app for bugs, UX issues, and hardware compatibility problems
  • Adding and validating PC parts, peripherals, desks, chairs, monitors, and other setup products in our database
  • Researching product specs from manufacturer pages, manuals, and retailer listings
  • Creating or helping schedule social media posts
  • Finding trends, memes, products, and content ideas in the PC/gaming space
  • Reviewing builds and setup configurations for accuracy
  • Helping improve product pages, category organization, and general data quality
  • Assisting with random startup tasks as needed

Ideal Candidate

You should be:

  • Deeply interested in PC building, gaming setups, hardware, and tech
  • Detail-oriented and careful with specs, compatibility, and product information
  • Comfortable working independently and figuring things out
  • Good at written communication
  • Familiar with PC parts such as CPUs, GPUs, motherboards, RAM, cases, PSUs, coolers, monitors, keyboards, mice, desks, and chairs
  • Active or knowledgeable in PC/gaming communities such as Reddit, Discord, YouTube, TikTok, or Twitter/X

Nice to Have

Not required, but a big plus:

  • Coding experience
  • Blender or 3D modeling experience
  • Experience with QA/testing websites or mobile apps
  • Experience managing product data or spreadsheets
  • Experience creating social media content
  • Experience building PCs or helping others choose parts
  • Familiarity with affiliate/e-commerce websites
