Marketing and Operations Intern

Marketing & Operations Intern (Publishing / Media)

Location: Upper East Side, New York City (1 half day/week in-office required)
Hours: 10–15 hours/week
Compensation: $250–$500/month stipend (based on hours + experience)
Start Date: June 8, 2026
End Date: August 30, 2026 (initial term; may be mutually renewed)

 

About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented intern to support a fast-growing literary agency and publishing education company working with bestselling authors, entrepreneurs, and thought leaders.

This is a marketing and operations role ideal for someone interested in publishing, media, digital marketing, and creative business operations. Applicants must be based in the tri-state area and able to commute to NYC.

While some editorial exposure may occur, this is not an editorial internship.

 

Responsibilities

Marketing & Content

Assist in filming and producing short-form video content (Reels, LinkedIn clips, etc.)

Draft and schedule weekly newsletter content

Edit and draft captions for social media

Maintain and update the content calendar

 

Operations & Administrative Support

Organize and maintain Google Drive files and naming systems

Update internal Notion workspace, SOPs, and team resources

Maintain author-facing materials, rights guide, and internal playbooks

Copyedit redesigned website (launching

Assist with event and program preparation

Conduct light research (media, comps, outreach lists)

Support promotional outreach to podcasts, events, and writing communities

Prepare internal documents, templates, and presentation materials

 

Who This Is For

Ideal candidates are:

Highly organized and detail-oriented

Strong communicators with solid execution skills

Comfortable with Google Drive, Notion, Canva, and AI tools (or eager to learn)

Bonus for experience with social media editing tools such as CapCut or Canva
