KindWrite Studio Internship
Title: Digital Specialist
Term: Summer 2026 (extension by mutual agreement)
Time Commitment: 8-10 hours per week (flexible scheduling)
Format: Remote
Apply By: May 22, 2026
Are you an aspiring creative writer/communicator interested in learning how a small, values-driven literary studio operates? Do you have experience with digital media (video, social and web)?
KindWrite Studio seeks an intern to work with our team throughout summer 2026. Primary responsibilities include:
- Creating & editing video shorts for social media and our website
- Developing content for our social channels (Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn)
- Managing photos and digital assets
Our internship is designed for someone who is curious, creative, and eager to gain hands-on experience in digital marketing and the day-to-day workings of a small creative business.
A small honorarium may be provided at the conclusion of the internship, dependent on completion of the agreed-upon learning goals. We support college or university credit where applicable and will provide the mentorship, guidance and feedback to support your learning goals.
Send us your resumé, a brief cover letter expressing your interest (no AI-generated letters, please!), and samples of any videos or digital media you’ve produced.
Essential Skills
Our internship is a good fit for someone who has experience using digital media for promotional purposes and seeks to build upon it. You do not need to be an expert, but you should have a good eye for design, be ready to contribute, ask questions, and learn. An interest in creative writing a plus!
We’re looking for an intern who:
- Has experience with Canva and social media, especially Instagram (posts, stories, and reels)
- Has a good eye for graphic design
- Is comfortable using Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive)
- Can organize digital files and information with care and attention to detail
- Prides themself on being reliable, responsive, and following through on tasks
- Is comfortable working remotely and managing time independently
- Wants to be part of a creative team and provide input and ideas
This internship is best suited to juniors, seniors, or graduate students. Experience or interest in creative writing, publishing, editing, or literary communities is preferred.
