Customer Service Representative Intern

The Customer Service Representative (CSR) serves as the primary point of contact for customers of the water utility. This position provides courteous, accurate, and timely assistance related to water billing, service requests, account maintenance, and general inquiries. In a small utility environment, this role requires cross-training in employee benefits, Finance/Accounts Payable, inventory tracking, and coordination with field staff to support efficient utility operations.

A CSR will address citizen concerns with tracking and resolving discrepancies on billing accounts.  Other responsibilities will include maintaining accurate and confidential records of new service applications as well as accepting and reconciling payments.  The applicant will need strong organizational and time-management skills, to have an analytical mindset, be able to show initiative, and possess a positive attitude.

This temporary internship will have the possibility of becoming a full-time position.  There will be opportunities for advancement into the Finance department and/or coordinating employee benefits.
