Social Media Intern
Position: Social Media Intern (Summer and Fall 2026)
Location: Pittsburgh, PA (Hybrid work environment with majority remote work and in-person attendance at events)
Compensation: Weekly set pay rate (based on experience)
Duration: June 2026-December 2026
Schedule: Estimated 10 hours per week with event days required

Gameday Hospitality is a nationwide sports entertainment company specializing in pre-game and tailgate experiences before major sports moments with the goals of elevating gamedays for fans like us, curating turnkey hospitality for corporations, and connecting brands with engaged customers.
About This Role
We are looking for a creative and reliable Social Media Intern to support content creation and digital marketing efforts for live events in Pittsburgh, PA. This internship is ideal for students interested in social media marketing, sports, and live events. You'll gain hands-on experience creating engaging content and testing social strategies in a fun, hybrid environment. This position is flexible and well-suited for someone who enjoys the sports and entertainment fields.
Major Responsibilities
- Edit and remix short videos on the Gameday Pittsburgh Instagram page
- Publish posts on our Instagram and Twitter/X platforms
- Post consistently to Instagram reels and stories
- Assist in building and maintaining a content calendar
- Engage with followers through comments, DMs, and story interactions
- Collaborate with the graphic design team for posts, stories, etc.
- Meet with Internship Manager once per week for strategy and update meetings
Secondary Responsibilities
- Attend in-person events in Pittsburgh (majority Steelers and Pitt game days)
- Capture live content at events (photos, videos, and behind-the-scenes moments)
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a collegiate program related to Marketing, Communications, Media, or a related field
- Strong understanding of Instagram platform
- Interest in Pittsburgh-based sports teams and cultural happenings
- Ability to communicate with management and fellow team members to execute a goal
Preferred Skills (Not Required)
- Basic photography and videography skills
- Familiarity with social media analytics tools
- Familiarity with CapCut or other mobile video editing tools
