Public Affairs/Design Intern
Cooley Public Strategies is a public affairs firm based in Nashville with an office in Washington, D.C., and a nationwide client footprint. CPS is an issue management firm specializing in C-level strategic public policy consulting, media relations, community engagement and research to some of the nation’s top companies and non-profit organizations.
A Public Affairs / Design Fall Intern candidate will:
· Collaborate with colleagues to create high-quality materials for client internal audiences, reporters, and the public.
· Provide counsel to colleagues about best practices for design across mediums, including print, digital and video.
· Create engaging content for use on diverse range of client digital campaigns.
· Work in a environment, cultivating collaboration and communication with colleagues in the office.
· Serve as day-to-day public affairs intern support for assigned clients.
· Juggle projects with competing priorities and deadlines.
· Possess a strong work ethic and commitment to continuous growth.
· Perform additional duties as needed for the benefit of the firm and its clients.
Required Experience:
· Experience in graphic design.
· Strong communication skills, including writing, editing, and presenting both formally and informally.
Additional Desired Qualities and Experiences:
· Proficient in Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and/or InDesign.
· Strong attention to detail with a creative eye for graphics.
· Ability to work collaboratively in a environment, with both colleagues and clients.
· Interest in a diverse range of client issues.
· Commitment to doing high-quality work focused on meeting the mission of our clients.
