Production Internship
Production Internship (Paid) – Church Production & Technical Arts
Position Overview: Production Residency
Many people feel called into church production, live events, or technical arts but haven’t yet experienced what that calling looks like in a real ministry environment. The Production Internship is designed to give you hands-on experience, training, coaching, and one-on-one development to help you discern and grow in your calling within church production.
As a Production Intern, you will be embedded within a modern church production team, working directly with our Technical Director. Through this partnership, you will gain practical skills and real-world insight into executing high-quality, distraction-free environments that support worship experiences both in-person and online.
You will receive coaching not only in technical execution, but also in key ministry areas such as leadership development, volunteer team building, communication, and serving people through production.
Training & Development
You will receive one-on-one coaching and structured development tailored specifically to church production. This includes hands-on training in:
- Audio engineering (front-of-house, monitors, systems basics)
- Lighting design and programming
- Video production, switching, and live streaming
- Service programming and run-of-show execution
- Production systems, gear management, and troubleshooting
In addition to technical training, you will:
- Learn from experienced production leaders and pastors
- Participate in leadership development and spiritual formation
One of the most effective ways to grow is through real responsibility. You will be given meaningful opportunities to lead and execute within live environments—allowing you to succeed, make mistakes, and develop both your skills and character in a supportive setting.
Length of Residency
We believe one of the most effective ways to prepare someone for a future in church production or ministry is through extended, immersive experience.
As a Production Resident, you will spend 9 months on staff with our team—learning, growing, and developing into a capable production leader.
Compensation
This is a paid internship that includes a small, monthly stipend to assist with cost of living.
Please note:
- The stipend is intended as supplemental support
- Interns should plan for additional income or financial support to cover full living expenses
Typical Weekly Commitment
- Production Interns: 20 hours per week
Schedule will include weekends, rehearsals, and special events.
What You’ll Gain
- Real-world experience in a modern church production environment
- Hands-on training with industry-standard audio, lighting, and video systems
- Leadership development within volunteer-driven teams
- Mentorship from experienced production and ministry leaders
- Portfolio-building opportunities in live and broadcast production
