Marketing Brand Coordinator
Marketing & Brand Coordinator
Company: GenTek, Inc.
Location: Remote or Hybrid, Southeastern US
Position Type: Part-Time, Internship, or Entry-Level
Industry: Aerospace, Defense, Test & Measurement, Technical Sales, Engineering Support
About GenTek, Inc.
GenTek, Inc. is a manufacturers’ representative firm serving the aerospace, defense, test, measurement, and engineering markets across the Southeast. We represent a focused group of technical manufacturers that provide sensors, telemetry systems, data acquisition equipment, RF systems, vibration test equipment, antennas, signal conditioning, and other technologies used in critical testing and engineering environments.
Our sales team works directly with engineers, program managers, test labs, defense contractors, and government organizations. We are looking for someone to help make GenTek’s brand, marketing materials, social media presence, and event promotion more polished, consistent, and professional.
This is a great opportunity for someone who wants hands-on marketing experience in a technical B2B industry without being expected to do direct sales.
Role Overview
GenTek is hiring a Marketing & Brand Coordinator to help improve the company’s marketing presence, support outreach around trade shows and events, manage social media content, and create clean, consistent branding materials.
The ideal candidate is organized, creative, detail-oriented, and comfortable turning technical information into clear, professional marketing content. You do not need to be an engineer or technical expert, but you should be willing to learn enough about our industry to communicate clearly and professionally.
This role is designed to support the sales team by making GenTek look more polished, visible, and consistent while the reps focus on direct customer relationships and selling.
What You’ll Do
You will help GenTek with projects such as:
- Managing and improving GenTek’s LinkedIn and other social media pages
- Creating posts for trade shows, customer visits, product highlights, company updates, and upcoming events
- Promoting events that GenTek attends or hosts, including trade shows, lunch-and-learns, trainings, and manufacturer visits
- Creating branded flyers, one-page summaries, line cards, event graphics, email graphics, and simple marketing materials
- Helping develop a more consistent GenTek brand identity across colors, fonts, templates, messaging, and visuals
- Organizing photos, logos, product images, manufacturer materials, and other marketing assets
- Updating or helping improve website content, event pages, and company descriptions
- Working with the sales team to turn technical topics into simple, polished marketing copy
- Creating reusable templates for LinkedIn posts, email announcements, event promotions, and sales collateral
- Helping make GenTek appear more professional, modern, and consistent across all customer-facing materials
What This Role Is Not
This is not a cold-calling sales role. You will not be expected to close deals, manage customer accounts, or become a technical sales engineer.
Your job is to support the sales team by improving GenTek’s marketing, branding, content, and professional image.
What We’re Looking For
Strong candidates may have experience or interest in:
- Marketing, communications, public relations, graphic design, business, or a related field
- Social media management, especially LinkedIn
- Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, or similar design tools
- Writing clear, professional copy
- Creating simple graphics, flyers, templates, or branded content
- Organizing projects and keeping track of deadlines
- Learning technical or B2B industries
- Taking rough ideas and turning them into polished finished materials
Helpful Skills
You do not need to have all of these, but any of the following would be helpful:
- Basic graphic design ability
- Strong writing and editing skills
- Familiarity with LinkedIn company pages
- Experience creating marketing content for events
- Comfort working with technical or complex topics
- Attention to detail
- Ability to create a consistent visual style
- Interest in aerospace, defense, engineering, technology, or B2B marketing
- Basic website editing experience is a plus
What You’ll Learn
This role gives you real-world experience in:
- B2B marketing
- Technical marketing
- Brand development
- Event promotion
- Social media content planning
- Sales enablement
- Marketing for aerospace, defense, and engineering industries
- Creating professional materials for a small but growing company
You will get to build a portfolio of real marketing work, not just internal assignments.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal person for this role is someone who enjoys making things look better, sound clearer, and feel more professional. You may be a good fit if you are the type of person who notices when a flyer, website, LinkedIn post, or company page looks outdated and immediately has ideas for how to improve it.
We are looking for someone who can bring structure, polish, and creativity to our marketing while working closely with a technical sales team.
Schedule and Compensation
Schedule and compensation can be discussed based on experience, availability, and whether the role is structured as an internship, part-time position, or full-time entry-level position.
How to Apply
Please submit your resume and, if available, examples of previous work such as social media posts, flyers, graphics, writing samples, presentations, Canva designs, class projects, or portfolio pieces.
A formal portfolio is not required, but examples of your work are encouraged.
