Content Creator Intern for Snarky Stationery Brand
La Folie Press is a humor-driven stationery and gift brand creating products like greeting cards, notebooks, stickers, magnets, pen sets, and other giftable paper goods—all built around “ugh, that’s so me” moments. Our style leans emotionally chaotic, oddly specific, and just self-aware enough to be concerning (in a comforting way), with original long-form humor that actually feels relatable.
We’re looking for a Content Creator Intern to help bring the brand to life on TikTok and Instagram. This is not a “schedule posts and call it a day” role. You’ll be helping capture and create content that actually makes people stop scrolling—and feel personally attacked in a good way.
What You’ll Do
- Film short-form content in our Nashua studio (products, behind-the-scenes, packing orders, etc.)
- Occasionally capture content at Boston markets/events (based on your availability)
- Edit and deliver short-form videos (Reels + TikTok)
- Pitch and test content ideas—we want your creativity, not just execution
- Capture raw photo/video assets we can reuse across platforms
What We’re Looking For
- You’re chronically online in a useful way (you know what’s funny right now)
- You understand timing, tone, and what makes content feel natural—not forced
- You’ve created content before (your own TikTok/IG totally counts)
- You’re comfortable filming casually (iPhone-style, not overproduced)
- You can match a voice that’s witty, snarky, and emotionally chaotic
- Bonus: you love stationery, books, or humor brands
Details
- Compensation: $600/month flat
-
Performance Bonuses:
- Additional bonuses are available based on content performance (likes/views), with the opportunity to earn up to $200/month in extra pay.
- Time commitment: Flexible, outcome-based
-
Expected output:
- 10 short-form videos per month (approximately 2–3 per week)
- Content can be filmed in batches—typically requiring 1–2 studio sessions per week (often less), depending on workflow.
- Filming will primarily take place in the Nashua studio, with scheduling coordinated based on content needs. Occasional Boston events may be included (generally no more than 1–2 per month, based on your availability).
- Quality and performance matter more than volume—we care more about a few strong-performing videos than a high volume of average ones.
- Location: Nashua studio required; Boston events optional
Why This Role Is Different
- You’ll work directly with the founder, with real creative ownership—not layers of approvals or corporate red tape
- You’ll have real creative input, not just execution
- Your work will directly impact a growing brand’s visibility and growth
- You’ll build a portfolio of content that actually performs
- Strong performance can lead to increased pay and expanded responsibilities over time
