The UAEYC (Utah Association for the Education of Young Children) Care for Kids Advocacy & Outreach Intern will play a key role in supporting statewide efforts to strengthen early childhood systems and expand access to quality childcare. This position is ideal for someone passionate about public policy, community engagement, and making a meaningful impact on families and young children.

The intern will assist in building and maintaining advocacy networks across the state by connecting with providers, parents, community leaders, and partners. They will help educate a wide range of stakeholders—including childcare providers, families, and elected officials—on the importance of the early years and the need for sustained public investment in childcare.

Key responsibilities include representing Care for Kids at community events and tabling opportunities, supporting the planning and execution of statewide events and campaigns, and helping to grow and manage social media platforms to amplify advocacy efforts. The intern will also contribute to outreach materials, communications, and grassroots organizing strategies.

This role offers hands-on experience in advocacy, communications, and event planning, while providing an opportunity to contribute to meaningful policy and systems change that benefits children and families.
